3D Fix Manager - Application for installing 3D Vision Fixes + Hotkey Editing Support
  26 / 37
Hi greatxerox, With profile folder I mean the folder which pop ups when you click on "Profile Folder" in "Installation" Tab. (The profile folders themselves have just a number as name). So when you select F1 2017 in the list and click on "Profile Folder" button there should only be info.ini and probably an icon file in the folder. Unfortunately I can't reproduce the error. Ah with The Surge I know what you mean. When matching fix profile names to game titles found via registry / search paths I filter out the leading "The" from the name. I did this because I wanted to make the matching easier - for example if someone creates a fix profile "Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" this would not be matched because he had forgotten to add "The" at the beginning of the title. So I configured that the user can leave this out - but obviously in some rare cases this leads to wrong matches now like it is in your case. (Really stupid thing that a game developer chose nearly the same name for their game as another studio). So maybe I have to make the matching exactlier and consider the leading "The" again in version 1.32.

I've reuploaded the release of 3D Fix Manager (no version change). "The Surge / Surge" bug should be fixed now. Also fixed a bug in the new updater which could crash it if update process failed. Just download and replace files with the one from this archive: http://fixmanager.rentus.de/downloads/programUpdate.zip

thank you Paul but for F12017, i have only 2 files in the profile folder : icon.jpg & info.ini As you can see, the game is no more recognized by "geometry wars 3" but nothing. why have i F1 2017 on the list ? it's strange because there is no existing fix in helixmad

I don't know if I understood you correctly. Is F1 2017 game installed on your PC? If yes then the behaviour of 3D Fix Manager is correct now. 3D Fix Manager includes some profiles just to detect installed games although no 3D fix is available for them. Some rare games are already 3D Vision ready and don't require a fix. You have the option then to install the raw 3dmigoto wrapper for being able to set 3d output mode to side by side for example or to add hotkeys. I created the F1 2017 profile just to be able to launch the game in 2D mode. I think for 3D we indeed have to wait for a fix :).

ah ok :) in fact, F1 2017 works fine using 3DSurround. a fix isn't needed if i remember.

Ok then I have to try out this game again in 3D :D. Didn't even try to run this in 3D because I thought it would be broken anyway - so I just launched 2D.

F1 2016 was perfect using 3DVision so i think it's the same way for F1 2017. i didn't really tried because one of my Titan was not at home. 3DSurround is VERY demanding, especially 7680 x 1440 resolution

hello paul ! nice update. Congratulations for your motivation ! i've always the Fr translate link in my favorites, i have to continue but i'm lazy :D i'd like to speak again about MINECRAFT fix. Is there a ways to automate all things to do using 3Dfix manager ? i tried to uninstall & reinstall using 3Dfix manager but it doesn't change anything. i see the 3DMigoto popup when i "launch the minecraft launcher" but in the game, the game isn't working using 3DVision :/ i assume i'm a little lazy with this fix :)

Hi greatxerox, actually you're the only person contributing to the french translation although you were not the initiator for the multilingual feature request (making the application multilanguage capable took a lot of my time btw!). There were 2 other people who wanted to have this feature and said that they want to translate but never did anything since months. So don't stress yourself. I'm grateful that you did some parts instead of them and kept to your word where others didn't. So basically I want to say: huge feature requests won't be implemented by me any more unless I think they are good for the application. You gave a lot of feedback for the program so I'll look what I can do for Mincecraft fix. Currently I don't know what to do additionally for making this fix work. The only thing left for 3D Fix Manager is to download optifine automatically (I don't know how to always retreive the current version) and to set the game to use Mike's shaderpack. Maybe there is an ini file for configurations? Would have to install that game again to find out...

I could also do french but how many french users are we? I'm using it in english and that's fine with me because usually it's only a matter of a click or two.

@ Rhialto. Everybody is welcome to help with translating :). Other topic: I just found a very easy way for showing stereoscopic images in 3D Fix Manager. I just save the stereo pictures from helix blog in the rtf-file of the fix description. When the user clicks on the image it is extracted from the rtf file and saved separately on the hard drive as a stereoscopic PNS-file. This file ist then opened with 3D Vision photo viewer which is already installed on everybody's PC. Of course before opening the file Nvidia Stereoscopic 3D is also automatically enabled. This whole process seems to work perfectly and vieweing stereo images from helix blog is a one click solution now. However adding all those pictures to the fix profiles could take some time or I have to look how to automate this process.

Ok saving the images in the RTF file was not a good idea because file size was exploding and loading the file was laggy. So I found a better solution: I just insert a Hyperlink to the image which is downloaded asynchronous in the background. When the download is finished the hyperlink is dynamically recplaced with the image. So RTF file size remains very small and the gui fast.

I just wanted to say huge thanks for this program, i tried it first many months ago and it was really buggy, at least for me, but now it's flawless and it's incredibly useful.
