Official Windows 10 355.82 Game Ready Display Driver Feedback Thread (8/31/15)
  1 / 59
The new GeForce Game Ready 355.82 WHQL Mad Max and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain drivers are now available to download from GeForce Experience and GeForce.com. With Game Ready optimizations, a NVIDIA Control Panel Ambient Occlusion profile, and a SLI profile for the highly anticipated release of Kojima's magnum opus, our latest driver is a recommended update for players taking Snake for a sneaky spin in the coming days. For more information please visit our GeForce.com article: http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/articles/geforce-355-82-whql-driver-released A new "Debug" mode introduced in this driver will be useful for users with factory overclocked graphics cards to troubleshoot issues that are caused by overclocking. By selecting this mode, the driver will restore the clock speeds of your graphics cards to NVIDIA reference clock speeds. Please note at this time this setting is only available in English. Support for Debug mode in other languages coming in R358 driver branch. Support will be added at a later date. For more information, please visit: http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3707/

I have a GeForce Nvidia 760. When I was on Windows 10, there was a microstutter that ran through my entire computer and I've seen reports that it may have been triggered by my GPU drivers. Can anyone say if they're still having this issue with these drivers + Windows 10?

Hi Manuel, I made more digging and found out that some profile settings are ignored !!! I think is a bug in NVAPI and profile settings. As a result is affecting 3D Vision AS WELL as other settings! For example: some games (Max Payne 3, Witcher 3, Far Cry 4, etc) have this setting ID: 0x702442FC. This tells how the 3D Vision driver "stereorizes". I made the test on Windows 7 where the driver works as well as in Windows 10 where it doesn't. In all of the games ABOVE if I remove (using Nvidia Inspector) the setting 0x702442FC I get the Corrupted Rendering that we see in Windows 10. In windows 10 no matter what value I set the flag to, is always the same result. Thus, I conclude is ignored. Example: Witcher 3 Nvidia Settings Profile (used both in Windows 7 and 10):
Profile "The Witcher 3" ShowOn GeForce ProfileType Application Executable "witcher3.exe" Executable "witcher3release.exe" Setting ID_0x00a06946 = 0x780020F5 Setting ID_0x1033cec2 = 0x00000002 Setting ID_0x1033dcd3 = 0x00000004 Setting ID_0x70092d4a = 0xb19c3533 InternalSettingFlag=V0 Setting ID_0x701eb457 = 0x2241ab21 InternalSettingFlag=V0
Setting ID_0x702442fc = 0x1c22fe24 InternalSettingFlag=V0
SettingString ID_0x7049c7ec = "웪ꑌ" InternalSettingFlag=V0 SettingString ID_0x7051e5f5 = "籪鸙" InternalSettingFlag=V0 Setting ID_0x708db8c5 = 0x5c3300b3 InternalSettingFlag=V0 Setting ID_0x708db8c5 = 0x3FF13DD9 UserSpecified=true Setting ID_0x709a1ddf = 0x4b1cd968 InternalSettingFlag=V0 SettingString ID_0x70b5603f = "榛鳈⏙ꢗ" InternalSettingFlag=V0 Setting ID_0x70edb381 = 0x24208b6c InternalSettingFlag=V0 Setting ID_0x70f8e408 = 0x80b671f3 InternalSettingFlag=V0 Setting ID_0x709a1ddf = 0x4b1cd968 InternalSettingFlag=V0 Setting ID_0x709adada = 0x37f58357 InternalSettingFlag=V0 EndProfile
The setting highlighted in green is ignored on Windows 10 but not on Windows 7. If I remove it from the profile in Windows 7 I get the exact same broken rendering I get in Windows 10. So, I believe that the driver is ignoring SOME of the profile settings for some reasons!!! Are you guys aware of this ? If not can you fill in a bug? If you want me to do more testing please let me know as I am more than happy to do it;) Best Regards, Helifax PS: Only driver where things still work on windows 10 is 350.12, which technically is NOT a Windows 10 driver (uses WDDM 1.3 rather than 2.0). I expect the different behaviour is related (somehow) to the WDDM mode. Please, investigate this issue as the reproduction rate is 100% and everyone is affected!
Hi Manuel,

I made more digging and found out that some profile settings are ignored !!!

Profile "The Witcher 3"
ShowOn GeForce
ProfileType Application
Executable "witcher3.exe"
Executable "witcher3release.exe"
Setting ID_0x00a06946 = 0x780020F5
Setting ID_0x1033cec2 = 0x00000002
Setting ID_0x1033dcd3 = 0x00000004
Setting ID_0x70092d4a = 0xb19c3533 InternalSettingFlag=V0
Setting ID_0x701eb457 = 0x2241ab21 InternalSettingFlag=V0

Setting ID_0x702442fc = 0x1c22fe24 InternalSettingFlag=V0
SettingString ID_0x7049c7ec = "웪ꑌ" InternalSettingFlag=V0
SettingString ID_0x7051e5f5 = "籪鸙" InternalSettingFlag=V0
Setting ID_0x708db8c5 = 0x5c3300b3 InternalSettingFlag=V0
Setting ID_0x708db8c5 = 0x3FF13DD9 UserSpecified=true
Setting ID_0x709a1ddf = 0x4b1cd968 InternalSettingFlag=V0
SettingString ID_0x70b5603f = "榛鳈⏙ꢗ" InternalSettingFlag=V0
Setting ID_0x70edb381 = 0x24208b6c InternalSettingFlag=V0
Setting ID_0x70f8e408 = 0x80b671f3 InternalSettingFlag=V0
Setting ID_0x709a1ddf = 0x4b1cd968 InternalSettingFlag=V0
Setting ID_0x709adada = 0x37f58357 InternalSettingFlag=V0
EndProfile

The setting highlighted in green is ignored on Windows 10 but not on Windows 7. If I remove it from the profile in Windows 7 I get the exact same broken rendering I get in Windows 10. So, I believe that the driver is ignoring SOME of the profile settings for some reasons!!!

I really think they need to completely remake this driver and go through each line of programming to see if someone f-ed up and fire them. Because I am still having my BSOD problems and I got this laptop two and a half weeks ago. There has to be something in the programming that is causing system flags to go up. Nvidia you are making me mad and I really love your graphics cards......
