The Last Remnant - not working with 310.70 drivers
  1 / 4
The Last remnant no longer runs in windows 8 after installing these drivers. After clicking play in steam I get the title load screen then the window opens and stays black and hangs ( no logo vids), taskmanager says that the game is "Not Responding" and I have to end task. (PC Specs in sig)

I am also having the same issue with the 310.70 drivers. Game opens with black screen and just sits there. Task Manager states that the game is not responding.

I'm not going to install a whole different set of drivers just to play this one game. I'll wait for nVidia to fix it.

I got the game working with 310.70 drivers. I needed to disable visual themes on the .exe, and then change each graphic setting one at a time, save/ok, rinse and repeat until all settings are adjusted to your liking.

I can confirm here also it on a GTX680 and 310.70 WHQL, if you maximized Ingame-Graphic-Settings and accepted, there is a Freeze or Black Screen immediately. With 306.97 WHQL no Problems.

I'm having this problem too. GTX590 here, 310.70 drivers, Windows 7 Ultimate x64. Last Remnant works ONCE upon running it from a blank install / file validation in Steam. if I then Exit the game, (without making ANY changes) it will then blackscreen hang on loadup until I revalidate again. Likely because it's creating the default configs based on my PC specs and drivers, which then cause a failure when I restart the game. Nvidia, please fix.
If you max them one at a time and then 'ok' it will not black-screen.
Yes, but something is wrong here and should be better fixed.

How do we inform Nvidia of this bug in the latest drivers?

I can also confirm this issue. Just picked up the game and it wouldn't start. Win8 Pro x64 with the 310.70 driver. Installed the 306.97 to see if it would work and the game ran for over an hour with no problems.
