Weird Far Cry 3 graphical glitch on gtx 680
  1 / 2
So, I've been getting this weird glitch while playing Far Cry 3 where I start seeing these huge skyscrapers of glitch appearing and reappearing when I look around. It looks like this: http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/541819475988829228/2E6E0100FC85593A1F064053EAF2263191ACA547/ The only way to fix it seems to be to quit to desktop. Does anybody else get this? I updated to the latest drivers today. 3.10 or whatever.

I have been experiencing issues with artifacts. I'm not sure what to say. I have not had 1 game that was 80% error free since getting my GTX 680's

I haven't had that, but I've had many characters have little momentary triangles of white appear in their hair from time to time. Anyone else had that?

Otherwise it looks like the sort of artefact typically encountered when your VRAM is clocked to high or is faulty. I also have these "pointy skyscrapers" in Far Cry 3 (extending from birds, people, well anything) as well as in Battlefield 3 (here they are emitting from the weapon) They appear anything from 1 minute to 60 minutes into the game and only a restart of the game will temporarily fix it. Other less demanding games like Hitman Absolution and Dishonored works fine. Is my GFX broken? I have a "Asus GeForce GTX 680 DirectCU II TOP 2GB" Clocking it down to the reference speed does nothing. I tried re-installing Windows and the Games but no luck. I tried with both the latest beta driver 310.70 and the latest WHQL. I tried with my old GTX 260 and then everything is normal.

I get the exact same issue on my GTX 670. I think there's another thread on this issue here too. I really hope we get an update, either game-side or driver-side, to fix it. I love this game, but it's annoying when the issue pops up as little as 5-10 minutes in.

I get this same problem on my 580 but it only starts to do it after a few hours of gameplay. When it does it though the game is unplayable as the entire screen is filled with towers and textures. Also it has only started doing this since the 1.04 patch

I am having the same issue on my GTX 670 (EVGA Superglocked+ Edition)... I don't usually see it, but it does happen from time to time. It's actually a relief that I'm not the only one, I thought maybe my card was going bad. I'm using i5 3570K, not overclocked.

Google brought me here. I saw you posted in the thread you just linked 5 hours ago as well, and it was even deader than this one from the looks of it. What dictates if a thread is dead or not? Are you an admin here? Unless youre an admin on these forums, please do not assume you can tell me what thread to post in, just because you say so. :P
