The new certified v302.80 drivers for Windows 8 are available from the link below but they've been confirmed to also work on Windows 7 without modification. These are International drivers for 32-bit and 64-bit Windows.

No confirmation yet whether they contain the v-sync stutter bug fix but I'm downloading them to try later as I'm currently at work. Will be interested to hear any feedback from GTX 600 card owners.

Do you know if these drivers work for the Consumer Preview - I would expect so but it states on Guru3D they are for Release Preview. I haven't bothered upgrading to RP from CP, seemingly little difference.

I haven't bothered trying Windows 8 personally as I don't like the look of the Metro interface but if these install on Windows 7 then I don't why they wouldn't install on an earlier version of Windows 8 Preview.

Well I installed on Windows 8 CP with no problem.

I ran a quick benchmark using Batman : Arkham City.

The game set to use DX11 with PhysX set to high, tessellation set to high, 1920 x 1080p, all settings highest except FXAA set to low and motion blur set to off. FRAPS was also running and recording video during the benchmark.

Windows 8 295.xx drivers

Min - 5
Max - 32
Avg - 19

Windows 8 302.xx drivers

Min - 8
Max - 32
Avg - 20

@ ManuelG - I noticed while reading the release notes that page 6 of Chapter 3 puts the emphasis on them being for Windows 8 only and that these drivers shouldn't be installed on Windows 7 or Vista.

Is that because you don't and won't offer any support for these on Windows 7/Vista or is because you haven't tested them on those operating systems and therefore cannot guarantee there won't be major/serious issues?

Do you have a date for the release of the desktop/notebook drivers for Windows 7/Vista please? I saw in another thread that they were coming "soon" but can you be more specific? Is "soon" a few hours, days or weeks?
