Nice, more or less confirms a few "suspicions" held by many around Lil' Kepler's (GK104) launch:

-Big Kepler does exist. :)

-GK104's DP performance isn't artificially gimped like with previous Nvidia desktop parts, the hardware just isn't there.

-Looking at 2nd Half of 2012 most likely for GK110 parts, maybe a little bit sooner for the desktop version, near the end of the year for Tesla.

-Big Kepler was most likely delayed due to Tahiti's poor performance and GK104's higher than expected performance, allowing Nvidia a free refresh from GK100 to GK110 without any market pressure.

hehe nvidia please give us GK110 in geforce and dont skip HyperQ, dynamic parallelism..

Both options are very welcome, especially HyperQ. Dynamic parallelism is very cool too, no need for uber fast cpu. I could still use my OC'ed Q9450 with it :D

I do like the HyperQ, seems like a great function. However, with the amount of orders that have been placed for K20, and their high commanding price (high profit margin), I believe we won't see something like this until at least xmas, or next year.

No wonder...we were right all along. The GTX 680 is a 660 Ti rebrand.

In my opinion, the GK104 based GTX 680 is exactly what it was intended to be. I suspect GK110 was never intended to be for a GeForce series card - the rumour that it was is simply based on assumptions made at the time (and past releases). I honestly think GK110 was always supposed to be for computational purposes.

However (rather hypocritically perhaps) lets not drag another topic down this path, this topic is for discussion about the Tesla K10 and K20 cards /thanks.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':thanks:' />

Yes of course. No need to debate that here. Someone needs to leak Nvidia insider info for the truth to be ascertained.

We're all entitled to our opinion and until I see evidence to the contrary I will firmly believe what I believe in this regard.

Thx Amorphous. Never saw you post something in this regards before. Shame, GPUgrid would have loved it. I do LOVE the new ideas that have been implemented, HyperQ and Dynamic Parallelism. Long key note, but worth watching.

I do believe that MANY of us would love to see a "castrated" K20 as a GeForce brand. Know the price for Tesla is way out of reach for most of us, but I got $750 for maybe a not the best, but not bad version. /biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

As long as I get my PCIe 3.0 back on my x79 /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

/thanks.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':thanks:' />

EDIT: SWAN_SYNC=0 is I guess like the poor man's version of HyperQ /teehee.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':teehee:' />

To be quite frank, we can't trust anything you say in regards to GK110 being an unreleased intended flagship, because you'd be under NDA if it was... sooooo yeah, lol
