Weird motion in 3d vision games.
Hi, im new to 3D vision and i am loving it to death, but i am having kind of a small problem. Everytime i play a game that is 3D vision rated ( batman AC, just cause 2 and so on ) i get this weird motion movement whenever i move the camera around with the glasses on or off. What is also weird is that i dont get the issue with The Witcher 2 ( which i know is 3D vision rated ) or any other games, just 3D vision rated games other than the witcher 2. The movement is very strange and i have a very powerful pc. I am using 3DTV play on a 3D projector and my rig is

i7 2600k 4.7ghz
8GB RAM
SLI GTX 580 Lightnings
128gb SSD
1000 watt PSU

Are you using 1080p24Hz? On most games I got 1 (one!) second delay from all input devices using 1080p24Hz. Switching to 720p60Hz fixes all that.

I have no idea why.

Hi, no im actually using 720p/60hz. Is there any advanced options with 3dtv play, im still using the trial and am going to be buying it when it runs out. Im wondering if there is maybe something im looking over, i have tried disabling AA and FXAA and it still gives me a strange motion whenever i pan the camera at normal speeds. Thanks for the input though.

Hmm. That's rather strange then. Do you use Bluetooth devices? They tend to lag on high CPU load. Does it still occur using cable devices with standard windows drivers?

Nope, it's 100% the same. And I kind of blame NVidia to hide everything in the registry and limit output modes.

If you're using a 3dTV, make sure on your tv settings, that you have "game mode" on. Your tv may call it something else, but all 3dtv's have a similar feature. Most newer tv's now have extra processing to make the picture better (artifact reduction) or smoother (image interpolation). Turning game mode on disables all that extra stuff, so you have zero input lag while gaming.

If you bothered to read the op, he clearly mentioned that he is using a projector, but then again I don't know much about projectors, so maybe some projectors have a game mode on them as well..

VSYNC. Leave on. Thats my guess.
I am guessing you mean the tearing when adjusting camera.

I've had exactly the same problem, but with the witcher 2. For me, it was to do with SLI and multiple displays. Disabling SLI and enabling it again fixes the problem.
Eqzitara is right, it's to do with Vsync and I've reported it on here before as being a bug!

well i thought i read it, but yer right, i missed that... I'm usually very stoned though so not surprising.

However... starting that sentence with "if you bothered" in rl would have gotten you a punch to the face. fyi man...

Really? You would have punched me in the face for saying that? What are you 15 years old with angst problems or something? Maybe you should lay off the weed a bit and get back to real life for a change?

So are you actually talking about frame skipping and lagging? Because thats what Batman AC does in dx11 (no matter what kind of a machine you have), so the weird "motion" you mentioned in the op might actually just be skipping frames?

It's most likely stuttering. I would get this a lot with my 3dtv. My new Asus 27 3d monitor is oh so smooth.
