Weird problem - please help (GT400)
Hi,

I just bought a new system a few weeks ago, and started seeing 2 weird problems (same origin, I guess):

1. FIXED green/purple squares appearing randomly on the screen (I attached examples).
2. FLICKERING lines shaped as rectangles, in flash videos (youtube and other sites).

This problem is inconsistent - the fixed or flickering squares may show sometimes or not at all. But when they do show, they are on the same place (while flickering).

My display+system drivers are updated to the latest version.

Anyone with an idea on what is the problem???

It's almost impossible to reproduce it as it is random...

Thank you!

System:

Graphic card - Twintech Geforce GT400 2GB
CPU - Intel i3 2100 3.1GHZ
Mother board - Intel DH61WW
RAM - Kingston 8GB DDR3
OS - Windows 7 Ultimate 64

What size is your power supply?

I saw a similar situation once that was resolved with a better CPU cooler and new thermal paste (not sure which one did the trick).

Thanks for the reply - the power supply is 450W (avatec evermax).

Do you refer to the Intel CPU? or the GPU? Both are running on quite low temp.

Is that a GT 400 or GTX ?

Minimum power on the GTX is 600 watts.
