Kingdoms of Amalur with Helix mod and Steam How to....
Im in my second night trying to get KOAR working with the Helix mod.

I have copied the files into the game folder, and have renamed the main executable, as advised, and made a shortcut called "Reckoning.exe", which points to the main exe, now renamed.

I still always get the steam error "This game is unavailable, please try again another time".

The link to the helix mod for KOAR is here... http://helixmod.blogspot.co.uk/2012/02/kingdoms-of-amalur-reckoning.html

What am i missing to make this work?????

If you dont have a 680 just reinstall an old driver. And just launch koar normally through steam. If you do try this http://3dvision-blog.com/1435-aliens-vs-predator-multiplayer-demo-fix-for-3d-vision-users/

Another way(as long as you arent SLI) Just delete your amalur profile with Nvidia inspector and just launch game normally.

I'm still not clear. I have two gtx480's in SLI... Using the 290.53 driver...... And using steam.....

I followed the "AVP" trick as best I could, and I understand its a problem to do with steam not recognizing the executable after you rename it. It mentions creating a launcher, which I take it is a shortcut to the file steam is actually going to look for.

So in the game folder I have a shortcut called Reckoning.exe, and I have renamed the original game EXE to noprofileReckoning.exe. I have copied over the files from the helix mod also.

If you are using 290.53 you should be fine. 290.53 was before nvidia profile. You shouldnt have to do anything besides turn off steam community, put the d3d9.dll and shaderoverride in amalur folder and start game.
Whats the issue?

Ahah, I renamed the original, not the shortcut! :p

Edit: Omg it's so much better in 3D! ^_^

Sorry if I missed a post somewhere. If I am using 301.10 driver with gtx680, is the nvidia inspector the only way?

Can delete the nvidia profile in nvidia inspector or http://3dvision-blog.com/1435-aliens-vs-predator-multiplayer-demo-fix-for-3d-vision-users/ follow instructions. If you have a non-steam/origin version you can just rename the exe.
