Get temperature of tesla card using program
I don't know whether this is the right forum to post this topic. i didn't find any appropriate. mods please move it.

I was trying to get the temperature of tesla card using nvapi. the system has two nvidia cards ( a nvs and tesla). the api only recognizes the nvs card only.
how can i get the physical handle of the tesla card using nvapi?,

Thanks in advance

Try an older driver. Some driver sets won't enable the proper sensors.

Also be sure to run the driver setup 'as admin', if you're running vista or win7.

i'm using win 7-64. if it was a privilege problem then it should detect the NVS card too?

Yup.. seems logical.

After you remove the current drivers, pull the second gpu, manually reset the bios, then install the 2nd after you see the first one is recognized properly.

But, before you do that, have you tried GPUz or GPU caps viewer ?

gpuz actually detects the cards, but the values that are displayed are wrong for tesla . gpu caps viewer does not display the tesla card in the gpu list and hence cannot view temperature of it, but lists it in the cuda device page. it seems the card is not detected as gpu.

hmm yes in the nvml reference manual, they say which all features can be accessed and my card is not accessible.
