  1 / 3
Hello
i have i Dell m4400 and i have a Problem with the NVIDIA Quadro FX 770M 296.35 Driver for windows 7 64 bit.
When i install it i became a bluescreen with the erorr nvlddmkm.sys.
I have test it with a new install mode of the Driver.
Bit it not works.
The bluescreen comes direct in Windows.

When i install the old NVIDIA 285.62 Driver the System workes perfect.
No bluescreen.

Is there a Problem with the new Driver ?

I have the same computer (dell m4400) with quadro fx 770m and ive been having this problem for every driver after 285.62.

Right now I'm trying to fix it (on 296.35) but so far the only thing I've seen it helps a little bit, is to turn off Aero in Win 7. still crashes sometimes tho.

Nvidia writes me that the gpu must have a new video BIOS update.
But that can come only from dell.

I fought with this same problem for days (Dell Precision M4400 & FX 770M / Win7 x64)
Made bios upgrades, tuned performance of 770M down, installed different drivers.....
The only way to solve this problem was to rollback display adapter driver to "Standard VGA Graphics adapter"

Now it has behaved nicely for some hours (previously I was able to work only couple of minutes before BSD)
Probably Windows update updated the display driver or some other diver because this laptop had worked for weeks without any problems.

Hi,

I have the same computer with the exact same problem.

My problem is that I just installed Windows 7 so I can't roll back the driver. Is it possible to download an older driver from nvidia?

Really need help on this one!

Thanks

Hi All!

I have an Dell Precision M4400 with a same problem. I've replaced the original HDD to another, I've installed again W7 Ultimate x64 + SP1, and I'm testing now with a 296.70 VGA driver with four copy of Prime95, and FurMark (windowed, 640X480, burn-in mode, 8XAA). They're working fine for one hour, but I'm still skeptic. If the problem will still on I'll replace this driver to an older one (285.62, as gpu-fan0815 did). I have no BSOD yet. Did somebody update the OS to SP1?

My computer has freezed again. The benchmarks worked properly, but when I restarted my PC, it freezed again. I've changed the WHQL driver to a 285.62 version (with clear install option), and I'm trying again...

this is an issue with the 770M's bios, as has already been pointed out.

contact your machine vendor for an update
