My 6150 is compatible with it, so I don't see why one version below shouldn't be.

Thanks for the reply.
You would think so, but everytime windows updates installs the driver the pc won't restart, when i try install from te pc manufacture's site it just says the drivers are only compatible with Vista, if i try install from Nvidia it says i don't have the required graphics card or something like that, as it stands now display manager says i just have a standard vga adapter.
I can't seem to get a straight yes or now about compatibility from anywere lol

Thanks for the reply, but if it had been an answer that was so simple then i wouldn't have asked on here, i have already been on that page you sugested, and i get told that the driver installation software cannot find compatible hardware despite having a geforce go 6100 graphics card installed and when windows update tries to install the new driver i cannot start the pc in normal mode

It's a Gateway Ml3108b

I know it's an old ****ty laptop, but it is only for a few weeks till my other 1 is mended, and this driver issue has been doing my head in lol as i have been told conflicting advice, i tried to update the driver straight from the gateway site but it won't install saying the driver is only compatible with vista...i think that may be part of the problem as this laptop was originally vista but my son installed windows 7 64 bit on it. As it stands now in control panel i am told my display device is a standard vga adaptor.
