Best low power card for old pc Advice
Not sure if this correct place but if anyone can help. Not built pc's for many years now but just got given one for the kids and im after a nvidia card to fit the pci-e slot.
The pc is a dell optiplex gx6200
2gb ram
Pentuim d 3.4 ghz
305w power supply (think these rated a bit higher)
I am after the best low power card i can put in the x16 pci-e slot preferably without the extra power slot although i think i can get a convertor from one of the other power connectors.

The reason i want an nvidia is i want to take advantage of the cuda cores to maybe do some video editing with it when they not using it.
I am not up to scratch these days on whats what. Im looking for something second hand on ebay

Thanks in advance

Well you can get a 8800 GT or 9800GT (same chip) with low prices nowadays... Even a 9600 Gt might do the trick, at least you already have directx 10 with those :P

How about spending just a bit more on a kit like this. Think of how much better of an experience it will be for the users. This PC will last for many years and the onboard video will be much faster than the old card you are going to buy:
