I've NEVER experienced this error until installing 296.10 Drivers, worked for about a day then 30 minutes ago...

Visibility: Screen flickers, goes black then turns back on
Error message: Display driver stopped responding and has recovered

Running x2 GTX 580's in SLI

I'm very concerned about this as my girlfriend had the same problem with her ASUS g74sx lappy, running a GTX 560M - She ended up needing to get the GFX card replaced by ASUS and hasn't had the problem since.

GTX 580's are a little more expensive... HELP!

Edit: 5 minutes later, it did it a second time. Both times have been when I've full screened a youtube video after about 10 second in.
Edit 2: Has done it now 3 times within 2 hours, 3rd time was watching a video through VLC player.

Try drivers 295.73

Next drivers are supposed to include more fixes for that problem.

I've got a 560Ti and I'm experiencing same problems as you. I don't even have to do anything special.. It's been VERY annoying.
Never ever had a problem with the graphics before this 296.10 update.
I rolled back to the previous version. It's good nvidia still provide downloads for the older versions.

296.10 drivers are all bugged, had the same and rolled back to 295.73. The question is when will nvidia be able to release new drivers which doesn't crash most of computers.
