GeForce 7300GS and MX/GX series failure Display 4 bit graphics after reboot
Looking for help on this one. We have 10 client PCs (XP SP3 which we manage updates with SUS) that on Feb 27th and Feb 28th all began displaying 4 bit graphic display upon daily sign on. We updated all of the systems online and and it updated the driver from the original driver (2006) to a driver 5/20/2011. We believed this rersolved the issue however within 72 hours all had failed again, displaying 4 bit graphics. The only solution we have found at the moment was to disable the graphic card and use default windows drivers which presents us with limited virtual video memory and very poor performance in the clinical electronic medical record. Also the last Windows update was Feb 2 2012.

System Information

Windows XP Pro. SP3

Java 6. 30

GeForce 7300GS
Bios 5.72.2231.19
Drivers updated to 5/20/11 6.14.12.7533

Drivers listed in add/remove

275.33
135.85
1.3.5

Thank you.
