Case Mod full tower Special
As you can see...I cut out the side of the case with a hole saw..its a 80mm dia. hole directly behind the processor and memory..The fan is lined up for a matching fit...Now I have air circulating on both sides of the processor and memory..

Hope this helps...

Here is a remake of the same deal...The motherboard mounting plate was hacked with a jigsaw and carefully deburred to remove rough edges..Although this is just a new design that hasn't been done yet..it gives way for new exploration for all to check out..

This is only a graphic demo here but it will work...

Did you record temperatures before and after your case mod?
Any improvement in temps?

I did a bios temp check..took a pic and posted it on youtube..yes this does help, however I was not aggressive enough with the hacking of the baseplate the board rests on..Its important to note that the backside of the motherboard does get heat transfere...thus my cutout of the baseplate..if you want to see the video let me know on my home page and I'll post a link to it..

thanks
