Battlefield 3 crashes ( Driver crash )
  1 / 2
Hi, I have been having this annoyin issue since I bought the game.
Every time I play, after something like 5-15 minutes, the game crashes and a little message pops up- " Nvidia windows kernel driver mode stopped working and recovered succesfully 285.65" Or something very similar to that.
When I was talking to origin 'live chat' advisors they told me my driver is not updated, although I did update it few days ago again, after I updated it about a month ago.
So the problem here is that my system doesnt recognize the update, for some reason, but when I did the auto scan thing in the Nvidia driver update page, it said I have the latest update.
Any solution? I'm quite desperate, tried well over 10 solution and none worked.
Thanks ahead, hoping to hear back soon.

I'm having this same problem, but in GTA IV. After 5-15 minutes of gameplay, the screen will black up, and that message will pop up. The game will continue functioning after, but it's extremely annoying to have to game black out every five minutes.

That is not entirly true, I do read through the forum posts, and what people have is similar, but not the same, trust me i've tried what people said on those posts.

Rashid, the driver you sent me is an older one, I have the newest version, should I still try and download it?

The latest driver 295.73 is mostly optimized for skyrim. I would say to give a try and check.

Bad news, tried the link you gave me, same thing. This one was even worse, I had to restart my pc manually beacuse nothing would work. I'm quite hopeless.

Any other ideas?
