SLI and Skyrim's HDR bug
Hi I have tried everything to have SLI and HDR enabled in Skyrim with no luck.
I tried:

SLI disabled - HDR working but with expected performance loss
SLI AA enabled - HDR not working,SLI AA not working,"just" SLI
S3D - SLI,HDR working but with expected performance loss

So my request is to NVIDIA : is there any way to fix this? Sorry but I have paid for 2 gpus and one game but I am almost sure that only you could solve this within a driver update or SLI profile update(or tweak).

I hope for a solution about it.

SLI AA doesn't work as the game doesn't allow the driver to do so.

To tell you the truth if you tweak with nvidia inspector the :

AA flag to "AA_BEHAVIOR_FLAGS_SKIP_RT_DIM_CHECK_FOR_ENHANCE"

then choose to override the application setting(not enhance..)

and then go to SLI parameters, the first one is for SLI AA enabled or disabled. Select "AA_MODE_SELECTOR_SLIAA_ENABLED"
and in "NVIDIA predefined SLI mode" choose "SLI_PREDEFINED_MODE_FORCE_SINGLE"
Choose
"4x [4x Multisampling]" and "2x Supersampling" and you actually get what SLI AA offers...: x8 MSAA + x4 TRSSA but you know, single gpu performance but very clear image quality+HDR...but this is not a nice solution.Nvidia should fix the SLI-HDR bug and also must fix the water bugs...

This both Application-Bugs and can be fixed only by Bethesda itself.

I am not 100% sure but I have to disagree with you since without SLI we don't have any issues and when we enable NVIDIA's SLI the HDR is lost..

EDIT: after some serious testings about Skyrim's HDR(and with the advises of a Skyrim's modder..) I realized that HDR's "eye adaption" is the only function that doesn't work with SLI enabled. All other dynamic lighting fx are active and working...I think!

At least is it possible from a moderator to tell me if its on the "fixing list" of the next drivers?

Its already listed as bug in this topic "Skyrim + Sli + HDR temporary fix" from ManuelG(Group:NVIDIA Technical Support):

New Skyrim Beta patch was released today - apparently it offers significant performance improvements over the previous unofficial acceleration layer patches.

Maybe, just maybe it even fixes the HDR issue. (on the small chance Bethesda have decided to finish one of their masterpieces)

So many updates from both Nvidia and Bethesda but non of them fix this bug.
Using now 295.73 and still no true HDR if SLI enabled..shame for this.I really hope to inform us if this is possible to be fixed or not.

Still not fixed these too things in Skyrim after all these newer drivers...

- HDR

- water animation bugged when player is moving in water

Using 296.10 for now but I am pretty sure that even with 3xx drivers(when international version comes) they won't be fixed.Sli is working great but these two bugs are really bad for immersion.With/if ENB is installed and active then HDR is enabled..(Enb uses its own hdr rendering, doesn't mean that it fixes the Skyrim's hdr though..)but how can this be possible? If the Nvidia devs tset Enb on Skyrim maybe they'd see why its broken on SLI (just a guess..)

Can we have at least a reply from NVIDIA MODs that these can't be fixed or something please ?

The HDR bug is out of our hands as it is disabled by the developer of Skyrim and not us. We do not have an ETA from the developer for a fix date.

Thanks for the reply ManuelG .
( I assume the same goes for the Sli bug when in water..the ripple effect that renders on the surface of the water when you are moving on/in it..)

Well, then I think we are out of luck...

The bug is in the d3d9.dll. If u replace the dll file with AntiFREEZE Patch 9 ENBSeries v0.096 for TES Skyrim the HDR WORKS NORMAL IN SLI MODE!!!! It works allso with FXAA ijectors...

I found that I can get HDR to work with SLI by using any of the ENB mods including ENB 1.08 TrueHDR.

Eye adaption still doesnt work but it sucks in this game anyways so I dont mind at all.
