Need some advice please!
I'm trying to run Star Wars: The Old Republic the game runs fine apart from the listed fps drops... Is my PC really that bad and need to upgrade or can i change some settings to get this working while they patch this game?

Fleet 15-25fps
WZ 15-20fps
Ilum pvp area 20ish (I've seen fps down to 8 =D lol)
Quest/random world 80-110fps

Specs:

MB - Gigabyte's M68MT-S2
Phenom II x6 1055T
8gb 1600Mhz
Nvidia 450GTS 1gb
W7 64bit

drivers have all been updated afaik

No heat problems and CPU/GPU usage normally below 30%
I can provide a dxdiag if it would help

Should i upgrade to a Nvidia 560ti i'm just wondering if i'll actually see a difference atm if it's not my specs... I'm not asking it to be 110fps constant. I would be happy with 60 so it's playable atleast

You will see a difference with a 560Ti, but I'd ride it out a bit until the kinks get worked out. The game is so new there's no telling what the final performance will be.

id say the phenom isnt helping you either. TOR actually uses about 80% of my cpu and i have a 2600k@4.5ghz. i get 40-50 fps in warzones and fleet and over 100 anywhere else in the field.
the only time i saw my fps drop was in ilum when we had like 100 ppl fighting eachother and it was still above 30, but that is to be expected when theres loads of ppl in the same place.

either way, the game will see optimization down the road like every mmo does.
