New Geforce 610M drivers problem
  1 / 8
Heya.I just purchased 3 days ago a brand new ASUS notebook more specifically this one :

http://www.asus.com/Notebooks/Versatile_Performance/K53SD/

The problem I have is with the drivers for the Geforce 610M provided by them, version 285.64,which aren't the best drivers to say the least. In SWTOR I get around 20 FPS(every setting on low) which is actually less then the 25 FPS I get if I use the integrated Intel video card.In WoW situation improves and I get 40ish FPS at 1366x768 with settings on good and using directx 11 engine.
My question is when will official drivers be available from NVIDIA?The latest drivers are 285.62 which give me the "could not find compatible hardware" and the beta 290.53 ones give me the same error.

Can't give an exact date but it should be much longer. If the next driver doesn't include support for your laptop, PM me.

Unfortunately our next driver doesn't include support for this notebook. PM me when the driver is released and I will add it for you.

610 is just a rebadged 520mx - no excuse for not supporting it.

Well I managed to get decent fps with help from laptopvideo2go.com .
However my problem is with the fact that nvidia released chipsets to manufacturers without supplying some decent drivers.
It is not exclusively nvidia's fault here because asus should have tested those drivers and not sell the product with the crappy ones(from an above post I understand acer did the same).
And almost 2 months later still no official drivers, beta or certified, from nvidia.

Yeah, Nvidia, C'mon!
My windows and 3DS max keeps crashing (video card's fault).
I have been an Nvidia faithful buyer for several years and this is really pissing me off.

I verified the current driver .inf and the same entries for the Geforce 610m found in the Acer driver are in our current beta driver:

It still BlueScreens right after I'm trying to use it. Why the HELL i bought this piece of junk?
It's totally useless without that videocard. bought this notebook only because of GeForce 610m and now sitting with a useless Intel Graphic card....
I still can't understand why you guys selling your product without it working properly? I've spent my money for nothing in the big count....

Drivers ****, I just got an acer 7739g with the 610M, I got this specifically for SWTOR, and it crashs on the loading screen, when can I expect a new driver?
