BF3: Post your FPS on SLI 570GTX - SLI
  1 / 3
Hi Guys,

I'm having issues getting decent fps on my SLI Setup. On everything Ultra i get 45-30fps. I was expecting bit more on a SLI setup.

I'm playing the game @ 1920 x 1200 resolution.

Here is my specs of the PC:

i5-2500L CPU @ 3.3ghz
16GB Ram
2 x Gigabyte 570GTX GPU

I tried turning down the setting to High and Medium and my fps still don't go above 60fps, and I have read on forums players getting it 70-75 on high.

I would have thought I should be getting 60-70 fps on Ultra on SLI.

Am I doin something wrong. Is there any SLI profile settings I can try.

I'm currently running it on 285.79 drivers. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Merry X'mas,
Kay

I have 2x GTX 560 Ti, with intel i7 quad core 3.6ghz, and I can play it on ultra with it never dipping below 60 fps. Maybe list your whole specs, maybe I could help u more, but im not an expert. Only advice I can give u know is the obvious, which is make sure all your drivers for all relevant hardware are up to date and are clean installs. Also make sure your cards arent getting too hot as heat can be a problem too, and dust.

Sounds like a power issue, you should not be having that low of FPS. I run a combo of High & Ultra settings on my current setup, which is GTX 560 Ti 448 Cores Classified cards in SLi, & I rarely if ever go below 60FPS at 1080p with VSync on.

Make sure you have the SLi mode set right, to NVidia Recommended, as AFR2 performs VERY badly in BF3 (I accidentally left it on from testing it in Skyrim, and it made me average 30-40FPS instead of 60 steady)

Try using the latest 290.53 driver, as it's supposed to have fixed all issues with BF3.

Hi, my spec

MB: Asus Sabertooth P67 3.0 rev
CPU: i5 2500k @ 3.7 (with turbo mode)
RAM: corsair vegenci 3x2gb 1600mhz
GPU: 2X GTX 460
PSU: Antec 850w
nothing is overclocked

The thing is cant play fluently on ultra settings and iam just wondering is that normal or is something wrong! I also noticed that when im turning in game(ultra settings) or i spin with mouse (hope u understand what i meant)there is a huge drop in both FPS an obviously GPU load iam thinking that cpu could bottleneck my gtx 460. I did overclocked it to 4100ghz but with not any improvement i could go higher cus i have aftermarket cooler... although i didnt notice any problems in other games! The driver version is 285.62.

On high settings i have 60 to 70 fps but on ultra just 20 to 30 and it is far from consistent

sorry for two posts didnt see

Any proof of that? Most people cannot run ultra with 560Ti's and not experience game breaking stutter.

Ultra settings and 1080P resolution for GTX 580 SLI, I average about 100FPS. In 3D Vision, same settings I only get 40FPS. 3D performance sux! I'm not happy with that. $1000 of graphics cards can't pull 60 FPS in Battlefield 3, that's sad. NVIDIA Needs to fix this ASAP!!!!!

Actually, Saijan, that sounds right to me. I get the same result from two 470s, which are about the same speed as 560Ti. Solid 60fps with vsync enabled.

But I was getting that stuttering to start with. Disabling Hyperthreading fixed it, though. Obviously, this wouldn't affect i5 rigs, but us i7 guys seem to benefit from it. I must admit I haven't tried it with Hyperthreading enabled again to see if they've fixed it with any updates. I've been playing other games. Maybe I'll give it a go later.

Most likely he's running a resolution that's lower to avoid vRAM cap with 560 Tis. Especially if they're 1GB cards, I don't see Ultra being possible. My 560 Ti 448 Cores have issues with Ultra at 1080p after playing a while and sitting at the vRAM cap, I get lag dips in to the 30s FPS wise.

I'm now running 3x720p with Medium/High settings mixed, in Surround, and I must say, buttery smooth. Only time I get issues is when there's mass-explosions on screen, which I still have on High, then I get some FPS lag, but otherwise, it runs surprisingly smooth with VSync on.

I'll haveta try recording... to be fair though, that resolution isn't THAT big: 3x 1280x720 = 2,764,800 pixels, which is only 700k or so more than 1080p (2,073,600pxs), which I can run on High/Ultra with little to no lag.

I still wanna get 2-3 580 3GBs to run 3x1080p, but I'll wait for Kepler and just run 2 of those /wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

Can someone with Surround post their vRAM usage on Ultra with 3x1080p?

Hondo-Loldo,
You say you never see above 60 fps,
Lets not forget the basics here, are you running with v-sync on ?
