UE46D7000 3D Vision compatable? Is this TV compatable please
[attachment=23575:l_10091404.jpg]

Hi,

Firstly Merry Christmas, having finally got shot of "Monstro", our 50KGs CRT TV (it had to go, the power button wore out - 12 years of use though), I decided to splash on an Samgsung UE46D7000 3D LED TV, Games look awesome, but i'm thinking of buying a 3D Nvidia kit from my local supplier - Running it (the 3D) through either a GTX260 or a GT560 TI - have two PC both with Win7 64 and Q6600's . I think it should be compatable - The TV has a 600hz Refresh and has Active rather than passive side by side stereo. No regrets, its an awesome beast. Got moaned at by a Liverpool fan at work though (because of the Samgsung / Chelsea sponsorship link).

Answers anticipated! Can't wait to play Skyrim in all its glory.... :) /rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':rolleyes:' />

You were very wise to get a samsung checkerboard capable 3DTV. Other brands and other samsung models do not support CB mode, so in these cases, the user is doomed to ugly scaled low res 720P in the wrong processing mode (framepacking). Time and again people buy the xxD65xx or D64xx samsungs not realizing that these 3DTVs can't do native res/ 60 fps 3D gaming.
In 2011, samsung all but dropped CB mode, only the D7xxx/D8xxx LED models have it. All samsung 2010 3DTVs have CB.

OP:
Skyrim is supposed to be an awesomely beautiful game. Could you post screen shots?

Thanks for the reply, I'll certainly post some screenies (DX11 is awesome in Skyrim). Heres a character creation shot. The other one is of Two Worlds 2 - Pirates of the Flying Fortress - I have to say I prefer Skyrim though.

Thanks guys for the reply - I have to say that the quality is simply awesome, so glad I invested in this superb set (& not cheaped out on a Bush or Alba like wifey wanted), and thanks to the 3D vision hack, I now have 3D Games Gratis to boot - all 3D priocessing is performed post display too, and at 300 hz per eye (600 hz total) really looks incredible, cant wait to try FSX - have MW3 running at the moment...

Used to have the older tech wired E3D glasses - at least they got me hooked onto this technology. Wierdly theres an ATI Demo that looks stunning (of the Moon) that you can seemingly put your hand through!
