PhysX 9.11.1107 broke Batman: Arkham Asylum's.. PhysX
I reinstalled Batman: Arkham Asylum Game of the Year Edition only to find out that PhysX doesn't work anymore.

My setup is a 460 GTX and Win 7 x64.

With 290.36 drivers and the included 9.11.11.07 PhysX, with the PhysX setting on High, the game complains that "the program can't start because cudart32_30_9 is missing from your computer." After you click ok the game proceeds to launch but the PhysX effects aren't working.

With the same drivers but by using the previous PhysX, 9.11.0621, the game runs just fine, with no error messages.

Please fix this nvidia!

I re-installed Batman Arkham Asylum original standard boxed dvd version the other day, similar message as you appeared saying... physx cudart_20.dll is missing.

My setup is a GTX 580 and Windows 7 x64.

I'm using the 290.36 beta drivers and PhysX 9.11.1107.

I had to search google for physx cudart_20.dll and download the file and place it in my windows\system 32 folder or directory.

Arkham Asylum and physX are working now.

nvidia,

on the left are the contents of the C:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\PhysX\Common folder with PhysX 9.11.0621 installed, while on the right it is the same folder but when 9.11.1107 is installed.

As you can see the previous PhysX package (on the left) installs the file cudart32_30_9.dll that Batman:AA is looking for, thus I have no problems playing the game with it.
PhysX 9.11.1107 (on the right) doesn't have this, and the game complains about this.

Copying the cudart32_30_9.dll file from the previous PhysX setup, solves the issue.

Please look into this, as I've done a lot of installs, reinstalls, uninstalls and repairs yesterday and today, and there's no other way to solve this but by copying the missing file to the Common folder.

It took you a hell of a long time to respond, but I am glad you'll eventually look into this. /smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

This is a user to user forum, not an official nVidia technical support forum. It is hosted, but not operated, by nVidia and there are no full-time nVidia employees moderating it.

ManuelG and occasionally other nVidia Tech Support folk do look in from time to time, though, so you can get to them from here! It's just not an official route and there are no response time agreements or anything. /thumbup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

The game and the original patch should have included the cudart DLL in the Batman Arkham Asylum binaries directory.
There is a new version of the patch that includes updated DLLs located on the following web page:
http://www.geforce.com/GamesandApps/games/batman-arkham-asylum

See the Downloads section of the page. The patch is called "batman-arkham-asylum-geforce-400-series-and-greater-patch.zip".

I've installed this patch+latest physx(9.12.0213)+295.73 and when I come back from the game to the main menu I always get a crash and physx error. Otherwise the game runs ok, unless I want to exit to the main menu. This, as you can imagine, is very annoying when you want to just play a map.
From what I understand:

"The CUDA DLL cudart32_41_0.dll must also be copied to the same Binaries directory where
the RRB.dll file is located.", meaning binaries in the game directory. But from what d00m3d has pointed out the file is missing from the physx installation directory. Now which one is it?
