Heed and Guru3D rig of the month
  1 / 3
Hey guys,

Just thought i'd make a post about this, and give you guys a head's up. If you weren't already aware, or maybe you noticed that my rig won for November at Guru3D ROTM. I woke up to find this in a package on my bed...

I was expecting a $25 carrier bag or something, but a $200 piece of kit is pretty unbelievable. And to top it off, i never win anything. Anyways, just thought i'd say that Guru3D is really rewarding the time and effort we are putting into our machines, and i know there are people here with rigs much nicer then mine. Don't hesitate to take some pride in your work and submit around guys!

You never know...

Haha, i actually mentioned Nvidia forums a couple times, but i guess Hilbert edited it out. I also made a lot of typo's that make me look dumb:P

But yea, just wanted to let you guys know that you should definitely submit stuff if you're proud of it. I never thought i'd win.

Just finnished reading the artical. Nice job Heedless and congrats on the prize. Im sure that ssd will serve you well. Dang, wish i could wake up to a sweet shinny such as that. Also great responses to the questions asked. Youve got a sick machine there and a well deserved win.

PS those shots of the rig could win some prizes too. Pretty hard to compete with a rig such as yours and with such flattering images of it too.

Thanks Cravin. Hopefully the copious amounts of typo's didn't detract from the article. I probably should have proof-read more...lol. I have actually been trying to get a 240GB+ SSD so i can just have one SSD for all programs and OS' instead of like...4. I was going to get an M4 for like $400+ bucks plus taxes, but getting a Vertex 3 120GB for free allows me to just get another Vertex 3 and Raid them. Saves me like $200. But yea...you should submit yours somewhere man. I bet you could win some sweet stuff.

Kudos to you Heedless One!

I am going to read the article now and JUDGE YOU FOREVER ON YOUR SPELLING! lol

Not really, I am not a stickler for grammatical correctness, and I am sure the weight of your comments far exceeds a few typos, particularly in the age of text messaging.

*edit* Read the article, your rig looks fantastic! truely ROTM worthy.

And I only really noticed one typo and its not that bad. It is amusing they saw their way clear to edit out references to these forums, but not that typo though.

So we must hand it over to our tame PC tweaker. Some say he sticky tapes a block of uranium to his dinner before eating it and that he sucks moisture out of ducks. All we know is, he's called Hooks.
