Is TriDef still compatible with 3D Vision Hardware?
  1 / 4
Hi,

A while back, I tried out the 14 day trial of tri-def with the 3d vision hardware (Emitter and 120hz monitor) and it worked by launching the games through Tridef ignition. Very recently, I purchased a license for TriDef and I can't seem to get it to work. When launching a game I get the error that says something like '3D disabled. 3D Stereo mode unavailable' or something to that tune. Am I doing something wrong that I can't remember?

Thanks in advance!

Make sure that 3DVision is enabled. Set TriDef to "Standard Display Types" and "Direct3D Stereo (120Hz)". That should do it.

Hey, thanks for the quick response.

I tried that in a number of different executable sequences, but I still get that error. I have tried a number of different driver configurations as well, but no luck. I can't seem to shed that error message at the top. Been searching around google for a while now to no avail.

If you have any other help, by all means, I'd really appreciate it.

Are you using a 3d monitor? Are you using dvi-d cable? Only two things I can think of. I have a hdmi 1.4 device so I just set it to side by side and put on my 3d glasses.

I recently tried the DDD driver on a 120Hz 3D projector and I got a similar message. It said:

"3D Disabled. Please update to the latest video card driver."

Which doesn't make any sense to me. I think I had the most recent driver for my laptop. Some BS right there.

@Cyber
Doesnt work on projector at that setting. Your projector has to be hdmi 1.4 or won't work at all. Set it to side by side, cant use 3d vision glasses. That setting only works on monitors.

Acer 5360 doesnt have dvi nor dvi-d..
Unless you are talking about a dvi cable that has a hdmi adapter.

I can get it to work with my hdmi but its more or less tridef working on top of 3d vision at the same time which screws up the profiles and making adjustments to depth and stuff. It also shrinks the screen like you lose more then 1/6 the screen size. If thats how it works I will pass. I can get it work with optoma 3d xl + dlp glasses without 3d vision by setting it to side by side.

Wierd.. Unfortunately I do not have a dvi-d cable to test to see if it will work that way. Would be interesting if it works like that. If any1 can try a 3d vision capable projector with a dvi-d cable and a hdmi cable in tridef and tell results would be interesting.

my Optoma HD67 works perfect with DDD drivers too, using a dvi-hdmi cable, no problems at all.

Guess that settles it a 3d vision projector can work with dvi-d cable only.

has someone been able to run triDef with a samsung 2233rz 120hz + nvidia glasses ? all i got is a side by side image. I think it s hardware related but maybe i did someothing wrong with the DDD driver ?

xplo you have to enable 3d vision then go into tridef. If that doesn't work I dunno.
