I had these issues on our two systems too. Uninstalling the 285.62 and reverting back to 275.33 solved the issues for me and some others too as you can read here. Though please consider that this might only fix the TDR issues you have been describing, but not issues you might experience with Battlefield 3 since this older driver has not been BF3 optimized. In case you decide to try the older driver a short feedback if it solved the problem for you would be greatly appreciated.

I installed these drivers on 10/25 and this just started happening to me tonight (11/3) for no reason at all.

I have been able to play BF3 without problems.

This is exactly what I want to be dealing with right now. This is fantastic.

UPDATE: I uninstalled the latest drivers. Rebooted. Let Windows7 find and install drivers (8/3/11 version). Rebooted. Installed the version prior to the latest drivers (280.26) and I am NOW HAVING THE PROBLEM WITH THESE DRIVERS TOO.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I work from home. This my my work computer. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.

Friend, I Used Thoes Words Exactly!
Tryibg To Go Back To 280 Dident Help! - (i Realy Wish I Dident Touch The 285 At The 1st Place)
Usualy Im Not In Hurry For Installing nVidia Drivers, Usualy I Wait For A Week or So to See If The Drivers Are Working Well.
I Became so Cautious Since March 2010, That Was An Unfogetable Month !
nVidia Released Their New Driver (think it was 175..somthing), All All of A Suden, GPUs All Over The World Started To Burn!
This Was A Nightmare! (if i rem' corectly nVidia said it was cause the dirver dident had full control over the fans.. or somthing like that)
usualy going back a driver is helping but here this problem not going away.
iv just bought an i5-2500k and a Asus GTX460 on a Asus Z68P-DS3 s1155, With No OC on any of the parts what so ever (dont belive in heating HW)
anyway alot of people bought a new Pc for the new year and alot of them went for nVidia LABLE, Seeing this problem and having people complaining about the crashes and new harware is realy bad for bus'!

If I continue to have these problems I'm going to see if EVGA will replace my card with an ATI.

Oded1st and people having issues where they can't revert to older drivers for some reason... you can at least get your system stable if you follow this thread:

I have exactly the same issue on BF3 using 285.62 on my 460 in SLI. Sometimes during loading the game something during gameplay.
Occasionally I need a HARD reboot of my PC :(

Well i had the same problem in some games like the Wither 2,Battlefield 3 games that are more demanding and i changed the voltage with MSI Afterburner but the temp was a bit high so i checked the manufacture for a new bios , i have a Gigabyte 560 ti factory oc at 900, the voltage before was 1025 i changed it manually with MSI Afterburner to 1050 and with the new bios is at 1062 witch is much better no more nvlddmkm.sys error.

i have the beta drivers and i was also getting this error.

but then i use MSI Afterburner and underclocked my card(460 gtx) and i havent had a single issue since. oh and incase you were wondering, i turned my Core hz down from 765(Default) to 650. bf3 runs good doing that for me atleast.

This is ridiculous man! at least 2 times I was in the middle of an online credit card transaction when this "Nvidia display driver stopped working and has recovered" error happens, the screen went black and it froze my firefox browser for a while also. I'm using an EVGA Nvidia GTX 560 Ti superclocked (900 Mhz core clock). I thought the newest 285.62 driver would fix it but NO! Still the same! Nvidia please fix this damn persistent problem again! wtf...
