Hi, just registred to tell you that i have the same issues.
A way to "almost" resolve it (only on back to desktop in one day) is to underclock your 560ti.
I have done that by downloading nvidia tune if im not wrong wich add this thing in the control panel:

My 560ti was OC by factory so i went from 900mhz to 870.

Hope that help

I also have the same issue.

Underclocking my GTX580 don't work for me. (used EVGA Precision)

Not even if I underclocked from 772/1544/2004 (standard) to 400/810/1000 @ max fan speed

my system:

Intel Core2 Quad Q9550 @ 3.2GHz
Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3P @F12
4 GB RAM
nVidia GeForce GTX 580 @ 285.62
Win 7 32bit

temps are fine, but it looks like the gpu-vram got a problem while playing Battlefield 3. I'm gonna repair the game @ Origin maybe it work.

I'm having this problem as well. Game crashes after 5 minutes every time. The process continues to run, but it minimizes and is unresponsive. I'm on the latest release drivers (285.62) and specs are below.

AMD X6 1100T
EVGA GTX 275
Gigabyte GA990FXA
8GB Corsair XMS
Windows 7 x64

Same issue here. Works perfectly fine on the exact same config, but on a ATI 6970. Graphic cards/drivers are at issue here.

Hi again.

Got a hint that you should flash the bios of your graphic card from the manufacturer site to make it more stabil for bf3. Mine is gigabytes geforce 560 ti series.

Hope it works /shifty.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':shifty:' />

My card has some sort of voltage auto-control. It's not even overclocked. So I manually increased voltage a bit and increased fan speed a little. Since doing that, I do not get 5-10 minute crashes, I can play for 1 hour before it crashes which is most likely server related because sometimes I see 5 people gone at the same time from one server, while the rest is playing.
Manufacturers should really run cards at nvidia reference defaults.

Have been playing the game after i flashed the bios of my gigabyte geforce 560 ti and it works perfect!

Remember that its the manufacturers site where you get the bios.

good luck out there /teehee.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':teehee:' />

I've got the same problem. I tried everything, nothing works.
Mines a Gigabyte Nvidia GTX 560 Ti, Quad Core Q8400 2.66 GHz and 3 GB RAM, Vista 32-bit Home Premium.

My game crashes every 2-20 minutes. I tried latest Nvidia Drivers and old drivers, nothing worked. My game simply locks-up with a still image and then have to kill it with End Task.
I could not play a single online session for more than 20 minutes without that happening. No sound loop, etc. Single Player Campaign seems to be more stable, played it for like 50 minutes with no issues.

I tried BIOS update as well for my card from Gigabyte website, same problem. All my other games are fine. Battlefield Bad Company 2 does not cause this issue. Never experienced a freeze and then a lock-up before. This is something I experienced only with BF3.

Well, I am not saying that I found the problem but it worked for me.

I uninstalled the software of my mouse, a razer. The mouse works anyway.

Since than I haven't seen a single crash.

I also applied those setting as seen in this post :

http://www.evga.com/forums/tm.aspx?m=1293763

But crashes were still happening (even if less). By uninstalling the razer mouse bundled software I fixed for good.
Have you guys got the mouse software installed ? Give it a try it may be worthy and it is reversible in minutes.

i didnt have crash to desktop i had the black screen of death which accuire when switching levels in online multiplayer to solve this problem i went to the router webpage and turned off UPnP
then update the punker-puster and it worked fine tell now
if other games didnt crash then its not the problem of GPU overclocking so dont mess with your gpu
