It's an issue with your hardware and improper voltage. As I told you before, your video card manufacturer is simply passing the blame onto NVIDIA. Call them again, and tell them "I waited for the new driver like you asked me to, and it didn't fix the problem".

I was hoping this driver will fix micro stutter with Deus Ex: Human Revolution many people still have. But.....no change at all. /crying.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':'(' />

Isn't the stuttering in Deus Ex an issue with the game itself? I mean, didn't they already try to solve it with a patch or two?

First off i would like to say.....Frack BF and MW 3. Piece of pupu games. Now on with pupuing this new drivers. Just tested them with RAGE. With previous BETA drivers i had a "smart" vsync option in the game. Now it's gone. With vsync on i get 30+ FPS and stutter that comes with it. With vsync off i get constant 60 FPS and constant screen tearing. This is why i loved smart vsync. So why is it gone now?

They released 4 patches and still have no idea how to fix it. They just blame it on graphic cards and bla, bla, bla.

I think the game had resource management issues from the very beginning. For me it played a bit better after the patches. I found the game to run almost flawlessly in Windows 8 developer preview 32-bit, where I ended up completing it.

Is your monitor refresh rate @ 59hz? Don't check in Nvidia control panel. Check refresh rate at Right Click desktop->Screen Resolution->Advanced Settings->Monitor. If 59 hz we can't do anything as the game tries to refresh at 60hz that is reason its screen tearing for 1 frame. I have 3 monitors 2 are 59hz and they have screen tearing while my 120hz monitor doesn't have the issue. A high hz monitor only can fix your issue or u need lock framerate at 59.

Some other tricks
In Nvidia Control Panel set "power management" to "Adaptive"
Use in game Vsync to "ON" and set maximum no. of pre-rendered frames to 0 to reduce mouse lag during gameplay.

Force triple buffering for RAGE and it will prevent FPS dropping from 60 to 30.

Pre-rendered frames is a DirectX-only option, so it will have no effect with RAGE (an OpenGL title).

The stuttering was a game issue IMO, just as it was when F.3.A.R. was released as I had the very same issue in both games. However, the patch fixed it completely in F.3.A.R. and in DX:HR it was fixed the patch before last on my setup. I still get a bit of post-load stutter but otherwise the game runs silky-smooth now on my GTX 580 with the 285 betas I've been using. I do not believe this issue is a driver issue myself.

I've noticed this too.

I had the Smart V-sync setting with the 285.38 betas and it was working very well, with RAGE only exhibiting some minor tearing on very, very rare occasions when the framerate dipped briefly below 60 fps otherwise it was completely tear-free. I'm very sensitive to screen tearing so I knew it was working and wanted to test this setting (I'd have used V-sync ON otherwise). With the modded 285.58 Quadro drivers this Smart V-sync setting is all but gone and I now only have the V-sync ON and OFF settings. I'd like to know why Smart V-sync has been removed myself.

There is really no point in something called smart vsync when triple buffered vsync already exists.

Though if it actually worked, I don't see the point in removing it either..
