GTX 550 Ti best drivers
Hi! I've just purchased a Gigabyte GTX 550 Ti 1GB DDR5 graphic card and I wonder what are the best drivers I can use. Also, I have a 550W power source, will that be enough? I've been told that most power sources don't deliver the exact power they are supposed to. Finally, I'd like to play Rage and I've been told in other forums to install the last 285.38 beta drivers but being beta I'm not sure about it. Are they safe? Thanks!

driver 275.33 works great for me with RAGE and Crysis2 etc and it's WHQL certified, i had troubles with the 280 series drivers.
my version of 275.33 also has a game profile in my nvidia control so i can turn off sli as RAGE is not sli supported and when it's forced to run sli it kind has odd movements when you move your mouse to fast to look around. also the 285.38 beta driver put white edges on all my weapons in crysis2.
don't forget to use the driver install instructions that can be found in nvidia forums under Geforce GTX and ION drivers

Thanx JLH! I'm using the 280.26 drivers and for the time being I'm playing RAGE quite ok. Texture pop-in happens but the game runs fluid and stable and that's enough for me. We'll see how they perform in Battlefield3. How are the 275.33 better than the 280.26?

with the 275.33 driver i only get the (driver stopped responding and has recovered)issue once a month. with the 280 and newer drivers it would happen 1 or 2 times a week. the newest beta driver for battlfield3 stopped responding as soon as i rebooted so i rebooted again and it stopped again so i never was able to even try it and i perform a really good clean install every time
