Driver installation
I have an ASUS EeeBox with ION, windows7-32bits.
The system information says: ION driver version 186.18
FireFox tells me I should load driver version 257.21 or subsequent.
NVIDIA site tells me most recent version of driver is 280.26 WHQL.
Installation instructions inform that a driver can be installed without disinstalling previous driver.
Anyhow, no folder INVIDIA exists on my system. The address of present NVIDIA software apparently is the following:
C:\Programs\AGEIA Technologies\ with no mention of NVIDIA folder
When I start the downloaded new driver setup program, it asks me if I wanto to install into
C:\NVIDIA folder
Can I install the new driver? Where?
What does it appen if I go on with installation? As such a folder does not exist it will create one. And then? How does it overwrite the old software.
Is it safer to keep the old version?
Can anyone give me an answer?
Thank you very much.
