Hi srs.

I recently buy the GTX590 and i have three monitor ACER AL2216W. In the surround options there is not appear the native resolution of these monitors (1680x1050)
I can work with native resolution in NO surround mode but when I set this mode the max resolution i can achieve is 4800x1200.
I was try to create a custom resolution of 5040x1050 but the system returns an error message "your monitor do not support this resolution"

Can anyone help me?

You don't have the option of 5040x1050 IN surround mode ...?

Can you post screenshots of your nvidia control panel settings...?

That's odd...!

What you can try is this... ,connect only 1 display and see what resolution is availible then....
If you can only select 1600x1050 then there's something wrong with your monitor recognition...

And you could try a clean reinstallation of all the videodrivers included the monitor inf file...

Another thing you can try...is to permanently remove the inf monitor file from your computer ,but don't forget to make a backup first, because maybe you need it ,if it doesn't work.

What drivers are you using...?

When I connect only one monitor the system recognize correctly the resolution (all the range of the 16:10 until 1680x1050). If I connect the three monitors without surround also recognize the resolution of all this monitors.

If I remove the INF file the result is the same... i think maybe there is a problem with the driver of Nvidia.

I will try to reinstall this driver and will tell you.

Thanks very much.

Did you do a reboot after removing the inf file...?
Can always try a different driver version, but reboot everytime you change something...

Well... I was reinstalling the drivers with the same results. And reboot after ever modification.
One of the monitors was purchased in the '08 and the others in the '10, there are some little differences between them but have the same reference. Maybe the Nvidia driver detect this monitors like different one and have problems to set the correct resolution.

I will continue to search some solution.

Thks a lot.[/font]

If you can dump the EDID from the monitors and verify they are the same.
Also verify in device manager that all 3 are using the same driver.

They probably have different firmwares...

Would probably work if they are recognized as generic monitors...

That's rigth Ferry, but if i set like generic monitors have the same problem. Still work with the 4320x900 until next drivers will be released.

Thks.

It's an old monitor,so I don't think new drivers are going to help....

Keep on trying every methode you can think of...,because I don't think Nvidia is going to fix this....
Could try and mail them about your problem...

This is the same problem I have, If I use the latest drivers 280 it won't work or the version 270 does not work either.

Version 275 work perfectly every time.

I have 2x Benq 2420HD and 1x 2400HD the first 2 are just the new model (same specs just the new ones have one more HDMI and USB on the side)

I only get the option of 5040x1050 if using 280 or 270 and the screens look completely wrong /wallbash.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':wallbash:' />

I have tried DVI's, HDMI's, the display port, moved monitors to different connections on the card, every option known to man and the only way it works...

As soon as I load 275 and set up surround it works! and I get 5760x1080 then set up the bezel and change it 5960x1080.

But you have to completely remove the other driver if you want to go back to this version, I used driversweeper.

Uninstall the nvidia drivers, restart in safe mode and run driver sweeper to remove registry files (just select the nvidia ones of course), restart then install 275.

Also I leave my monitors as generic PNP even though the NCP does know what models they are.

I don't understand how 270 does not work, they bring out 275.....it works, then they update to 280 and it does not work again....come on Nvidia

Hope this helps you Trilogy /thumbsup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Yep got the same problem, very annoying. Can't choose 5760x1080 which is what I have with the 27x drivers. Caps out at 5040x1050. On top of that you require the 285 drivers to play the new battlefield 3 beta. So a quick fix would be awesome.
