Riddle me this !
Ok, so I have an Nvidia GT218 (ION2) video chip in my machine – Yes I do know this belongs in the ION section but no-one looks their !!

Anywho the GT218 is based on the GeForce 210 core and comes in two flavours :

GT218-ION-A3

and

GT218-ILV-A3

One of which has 8 CUDA cores and core clock of 405Mhz the other has 16 CUDA cores and a core clock of either 475 or 535Mhz, are you following ? and am I correct so far ??

So my question is what on earth do I have in my machine.............as the printing on the video chip says 'Nvidia' and under that is printed 'N11M-PT1-S-B1' not either of the above options.

GPU-Z 0.5.4 : reports it as an Nvidia ION, GT218, ROP's 4, Shaders 16 unified and GPU Clock 500Mhz

Nvidia control panel system info says : ION, CUDA 8 cores and GPU clock 500Mhz

and lastly HwiNFO 64 says : Nvidia ION (GT218), Pixel pipelines 4, shaders 16 unified and GPU Clock 270Mhz.

Which if any do I have, contacted machines manufacture and got a reply of ' your machine uses the Nvidia ION2 chipset' very helpful /wallbash.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':wallbash:' />

Can some throw me a rope on this one ?

If you read the print on the chip right "NVIDIA N12M-GE-S-B1" it's a GT 218 one step up from a GeForce 9800m GT. GPU-Z is correct /yes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Click here
