Official WHQL NVIDIA 275.33 Display Driver Feedback Thread For NVIDIA Geforce Desktop/Notebook/ION G
  1 / 66
Today we posted our first official Microsoft WHQL certified NVIDIA display driver from our R275 driver branch. The new NVIDIA display driver 275.33 is available for download from our main download drivers page for NVIDIA Geforce desktop/notebook/ION GPUs. This driver is a minor update from our previous beta 275.27 beta and focuses on speed improvements and driver fixes. Many issues reported with the previous 275.27 driver will not be fixed until the next driver release so if you reported an issue in the 275.27 official thread, you do not need to report it again but if your issue is fixed with this driver, we would be glad to have confirmation so we can internally close some of these issues. Some new features are introduced with this driver as well including new SLI Profile Update, Youtube 3D using NVIDIA's 3D Vision and a completely rebuilt scaling and overscan compensation user interface. Our software engineers have been working on the scaling and overscan compensation changes for a long long time and based on the feedback from our previous beta 275.27 driver, many users were really happy with the improvements made. For more information on what's new with the NVIDIA display driver version 275.27, please visit:

Providing Driver Feedback:

Please provide feedback on these drivers here so that I may compile the information and pass it along to our software team. When you reply to this thread with your feedback, please include the following as best you can to help us reproduce the issue you are experiencing. Below I have broken down the information which will help us best to reproduce your issue based on the type of issue you are experiencing. I know it seems like we are asking for a lot of information but the more information we have, the easier it will be for us to reproduce your issue. Of course if have trouble providing some of the information below, that is fine. Thank you for your time.

Driver fails to install/complete errors:
If the NVIDIA display driver installer fails to install because of some type of install error, please provide the following information:
1) Desktop/notebook make or model (if you have a custom PC, simply note Custom PC and provide your motherboard make and model)
2) Please indicated the previous driver version you were using
3) How was the driver installed?
-Express Installation
-Custom Installation
-Custom Installation with option Perform Clean Install selected
4) Is Microsoft UAC enabled/disabled?
5) Have you used any registry cleaner/optimizer/security tool since the last successful NVIDIA driver installation?
6) Are you using any anti-virus program? If so, which one?
7) If you can, please follow the instructions below to provide us with your installation logs:

-Open a Command Prompt window.
-Navigate in the Command Prompt window to the folder where the NVIDIA display driver files were extracted to. For Windows 7 x64 for example, it would be:

C:\NVIDIA\DisplayDriver\275.33\Vista 64-bit\English

-Run the following command:

setup.exe -log:"C:\NVlog" -loglevel:6

-We will need the file generated by the setup installer in the c:\nvlog directory. Also, please send us the setupapi log from here:

C:\Windows\INF\Setupapi.*.log

Another user posted a simpler way for those not familiar with command prompts here:
http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=200543&view=findpost&p=1240721

8) Last but not least, we could also use a Process Monitor log. To do this, download the following utility and unzip it:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896645

Open the program and then choose "Save". The saved file will also help us isolate the cause of your installation issue.

Please note, the above does not include installation errors because the driver does not support your product. If you have a notebook which is not supported by this driver and you would like to request that it be added to a future driver, skip down below to the Notebook Display Driver Request section.

11) If necessary, please provide description of how to reproduce stuttering (ie if you need to navigate to a special section in the game or play for a specific amount of time before the problem starts to occur)
12) What is your graphics card make and model? Is it factory overclocked? If factory overclocked, does turning down the clock settings resolve your issue?
13) Are you running an SLI system? If so, does the problem go away if you disable SLI?
14) Are you running more than one display?
15) Sound card make and model (if you are using onboard sound card, you can just state onboard sound card)

Stuttering/Poor application/game performance

1)Title of game and version

2) Is this game a disc install, Steam, D2D, GOG, etc.?

11) If necessary, please provide description of how to reproduce stuttering (ie if you need to navigate to a special section in the game or play for a specific amount of time before the problem starts to occur)

12) What is your graphics card make and model? Is it factory overclocked? If factory overclocked, does turning down the clock settings resolve your issue?

13) Are you running an SLI system? If so, does the problem go away if you disable SLI?

14) Are you running more than one display?

15) Sound card make and model (if you are using onboard sound card, you can just state onboard sound card)

16) Does this reproduce with other games/applications or just one particular game/application

Looks like the driver fixed 2D performance in Witcher 2 if you have 3D Vision installed and not turned on but the game still has the horrible indoor performance issue when in 3D for us 3D Vision users. ManuelG, Do you have any idea which future driver will fix that issue?

The next driver will contain some driver optimizations for this game. We are also working with the developers of this game to further improve performance.

I encountered the same dragon age 2 very high settings shadow problem, although in my opinion is more of a lighting problem. The game version is 1.02 and using hi res texture pack.
With everything maxed but lower settings than very high works great.
Reverted to 270.61 driver and it works very good with all settings maxed at very high.
My computer : GA H55M-UD2H
I5 760
GTX 460 - slightly overclocked
4GB RAM 1333Mhz Kingston
Win 7 - 64 bits
Also had instalation error from windows even if the install seemed to work correctly.
