Why so many cheap 3D Ready 720p Projector and no one model on Full HD? There is a problem on 1080p D
Hello,

This is a question i wanted to ask because thats a looonnggg time i wait for a Full HD DLP 3D Ready Projector.
I thinked there was going to be out short time after all the 1st 720p one (1 Year ago!)
And the 720p DLP 3D Ready Projector are even the same price on 3D Ready model or not... (500 ~ 700€ for a DLP 720p 3D Ready Projector, this is the same price 3D Ready or not)
So i thinked 1080p 3D Ready Projector will be out fast and @ less than 1000 ~ 1300€

But currently when i check the list of projector supported on 3D Ready there is no one in 1080p...
How this is possible?
Did there is a real technologic problem about Full HD DLP 3D Ready Chip?? (Since DLP Technologic dont have any problem on response timing, faster than all the best LCD 120hz screen)

Did Nvidia have any infos about this?
Do you know if a Full 3D Projector will be out before 2012?

Thanks

PS: Sorry for my not realy good English.

They just developed chip a little over 1 year ago for projectors and it was at like 10k(7.5k euro) for the full hd 3d projector. Will there be a full hd 3d projector in 2012 thats around 1k, prtobably though hasn't been announced. Most likely it will only support hdmi 1.4 though. If you are waiting for a 3d vision capable projector (120 hz 1080P near 1k) it will probably not happen in 2012 imo.

I dont understand why theyr can made any 720p DLP Projector on 3D ready just with a Firmware update, and cant do the same with actual 1080p DLP Projector

Maybe it's just how things are sold nowadays. First they are getting all the profit from the 720 projectors. Once all the juice has been squeeze it will be the turn for 1080 projectors. First, a general feeling that 720 is no longer enough must spread through out the consumers. Then a quick exponential decrease in prices will allow a 3d ready 1080 projector in each house. When the 1080 cycle is about to finish there will be just a new product around the corner.... and so on and on

720p is held back by bulb light source and colorwheel, 1080p would be even more held back,

personally wouldn't buy 1080p DLP without novel LED or Laser light source.
