3D Vision Player DEAD New Version doesn't work
Upgraded to the new version that supports playing while in Windowed Mode (Which works fine)

However now, when I open any file (MKV SBS) I get the following error (While the video plays fine in the background!) Clicking on OK closes the video file.

Anyone know how to fix this? I've gone through the Options and found nothing, and Google also returns no results for this issue.

What MKV Codec do you have installed?

DivX Plus and Cyberlink. As I said though, The previous version of 3D Vision Player worked flawlessly and this version plays the files fine, until I hit OK on the Error Box

Let me know if you need any more details and if you could tell me where I can download the older version again I'd appreciate it.

Can you specify the following so I can create a bug report?
- GPU you are using
- Driver version you are using
- What previous version of the player worked
- what is your default codec for MKV which is what the player would likely be trying to use

Did you also try to launch the player's properties and select your codec for that file type playback? Under Settings > Decoder that are options to specify the exact decoder you are using.

I'm using a GTX 460 (1GB), The very latest drivers (270.51), the very last version of the player worked fine so I would assume it was 1.6.8 (Didn't look, nor do I have the old version anymore) as the new version is 1.6.9
I've tried several different decoders (DivX Plus and Cyberlink). All produce this error.

I've attached the Log File it offers when the error box comes up, hopefully this will help? (Ok, foroum refuses the file type so its below)

The issue is caused by the DivX MKV Demux DirectShow filter. It sends event codes that are reserved for DVD navigation.

You can work around the problem by installing the Haali Media Splitter (http://haali.su/mkv/MatroskaSplitter.exe) and select it as preferred MKV splitter in the 3D Vision Player (File|Settings|Decoder).

Thank you so much! I had this same issue. So strange. But it did indeed fix it. FYI upon Haali Media Splitter installer you are given options to add "support" for certain file types which it associates for you and disables your current matroska splitter settings. I unchecked the 2 disabling options to keep my 2D mkv file to run with the same method i already had, and unchecked all the other supports and everything no works flawless. Just wish my KMPlayer had the support for 3D from NVIDIA's 3D Vision media player.

Thanks pwimmer,

Not being able to see a SBS MKV in 3D (MKV file not available extension to open), I thought that the Matroska filter sounded like a good candidate.
However, having installed the Haali codec, when I got Settings on NVIDIA player (brand new download and install today), I get a slightly different screen from your example above.

In case you can't see my screenshot:

I don't have any of the top-level nodes (Stream Splitter, Audio Decoder, Video Decoder, Other).
And I don't have any mention of Matroska in my low-level nodes, although I have all of the other ones in your screenshot.
I found Haali Stream Splitter in the 'Add' list but I can't add it anywhere except under an existing low-level node...

I am trying to set up a new Dell XPS (3D LCD) with GT 550M to see 3D films.

What am I missing, please.

Thanks for any help.

Sry to bump.. but but

I have also problems .. I would love to have a bit help here.

Atm im using nvidia 3d vision player. Haali is handling Matroska Stream Splitter or well.,... atleast trying and here's result -> http://aijaa.com/0098410065671 i really dont know why picture is looking like this.

Month ago i was able to watch 3d full-sbs movies properly but then my hard drive went totally down, since then ive not been able to put my setup back again. I remember that i had kinda "****load" of different codecs installed back then.. i can call it almost codec jungle. few days ago I tried to install k-lite codec pack and switch different codec here and there.. just couldnt find any working setup. So now im soooooooooooooo frustrated. What would be working setup for that player ?

In case you can't see my screenshot:

I don't have any of the top-level nodes (Stream Splitter, Audio Decoder, Video Decoder, Other).

And I don't have any mention of Matroska in my low-level nodes, although I have all of the other ones in your screenshot.

I found Haali Stream Splitter in the 'Add' list but I can't add it anywhere except under an existing low-level node...

I am trying to set up a new Dell XPS (3D LCD) with GT 550M to see 3D films.

What am I missing, please.

Thanks for any help.

Sry to bump.. but but
