2D Surround Requirements
Hi,

My specs are

Core I7 920 @ 3.2 Ghz
6gb in triple channel
2 x GTX 470 in Sli
Standard Hdd ( no SSD)
Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit

When i want to play BBC2 i must turn HBAO off to have normal frame rates.
When i want to play Shift 2 i have to reduce resolution to have only 35 Fps.

Is this normal for 2D surround?

I have been asking around and some say that my graphics cards is not enough, others say that i need more ram memory and a SSD to run my game from. When i look into system of configuration of windows 7 in the performance index, the graphics cards are 7.7, processor is 7.5, ram is 7.8 but my primary hdd is only 5.9.

What do you guys think i need to upgrade? I use three lg e2260 monitors wich are 22 inch at a resolution of 1920x1080 each.

Please some advice about this. Thank you in advance.

Regards,
Jeffrey

You're not going to see a significant jump in performance upgrading anything.
What driver are you using, there have only been 2 decent surround drivers, 258.96 and the current 270.52.
I would recommend the former and launch games from 1920x1080 resolution.
You should also read the "Fix for those with Abysmal 3DS performance" thread.
IME the issue isn't just 3D.

I use 267.24 for drivers. Will delete them and try the 285.96 drivers. Thank you for the info. Hope this works.
