Dragon Age 2 DX11 *TERRIBLE PERFORMANCE ON NVIDIA* 480 3-way SLI
  1 / 30
Playing the full game of Dragon Age 2 on DX11. All settings maxed in game at 2560x1600. Using 267.24 drivers and GTX 480 3-way SLI.

SLI is active and all cards are at gaming clocks and show utilization. Each card is pegged around 40-50% utilization per Afterburner.

Getting between 15-25fps at all times. Terrible performance. All other games are running fine.

When can we expect a fix for the issues with Nvidia cards and/or SLI and Dragon Age 2 ?

Friend is running AMD 6950 Crossfire and getting great framerates.

A Radeon 5850 and any other AMD card above that, such as 6950 or 6970 is faster than a GTX 580 in this game.

Edited to include reviews of benchmarks on Dragon Age 2:

Look how badly nvidia is doing in this game ?

Please fix the drivers.

My GTX 460 2-way SLI is having bad performance with the beta driver, too. While my friend's single AMD 5850 is getting 40-45 FPS with everything but Ambient Occlusion maxed and 4xAA at 1920x1080, I am only getting 20-30 FPS. In other games my setup usually outperforms his by 10 FPS.

Here's hoping a proper release of the new DAII driver will fix this!

Looking like quite a few of us are having low FERMI usage again.

1920 x 1080, GTX 580 SLi, Forceware 266.58

GPU0 ~ 55~57%, GPU1 ~ 40~65% usage.

825 Core, 1050 Mem

Overclock or No Overclock Same Issue, SLi Enabled or Disabled... just get poor performance (5~25 FPS) on max settings.

Its a pretty game, but its not capable of eating 2x 580s with just this eye candy.

I'm just wondering would my two 768MB GTX 460 could run it even though the requirement for the high-resolution pack asks for a 1GB card? I know SLI doesn't share memory, but would a better driver possibly increase the performance?

Yes the performance is horrible.

560 ti gtx (not really a 580 sure but anyway) 4x aa 1680x1050 very high and it runs at 20-25 fps. 267.26 drivers.

Usage seems fine tho 80-90% but still. ATI counterpart running at 45+ (counterpart as in equal card)

Good afternoon. I do not know where to write in support of Bioware or here. Hence the problem is that the game is at a very high produces 12-14 FPS and high - 20. I have a card GTX 465 (full config in your signature). Driver version 267.24. I'm wondering one thing for a comfortable game, we just need to wait for new drivers, WHQL, that magically add 20-30 fps and becomes comfortable playing, or need 2 high-end videocards?

The DA2 demo had abysmal performance for DX11 but the developers explained that it was due to incomplete support in the code. It is disappointing to read that the final game still has DX11 performance issues; it's not like DA2 looks graphically amazing anyway (certainly not out of the box as the hi-res textures are a separate download!) and I was rather hoping that my single GTX 580 could eat it for breakfast even on DX11 Very High settings. I won't know know sadly until Thursday at the earliest as my game has only just been sent out today.

It won't run well on max at least with the DX11 options enabled.

Medium maybe with the HQ Texture pack will give you 30~45 fps.

Its not just low Fermi usage, its really bad code AND Fermi low usage. Looks like we have texture "holes" where you can see miles below the surface which has to cause GPS spikes as well as black textures being produced.

The latest beta drivers help... but they don't help that much.

Agreed. I'd like some word on this. I keep hearing mumbles from BioWare about a driver release that was supposed to go out today, but maybe later this month. What's the ETA? Will it actually fix this pathetic performance in DX11?

Well the beta drivers do help, here is great help for GTX 580s

http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7-winvista-64bit-267.31-beta-driver.html

GTX 580 SLi:
Gone from 10fps on Very High to 50fps, which is much more playable, I assume more tweaked drivers should bring us above 60~100 fps.

Settings:
Res: 1920 x 1080
Renderer: Dx11
Graphics: Very High
AA: 4x
AF: 16x

SSAO: On
DDoF: On
HQ Motion Blur: On
HQ Texture: On

Problems here too.

EVGA 570 Superclocked
i9 @ 3.0GHz
6GB RAM

1920x1080 single monitor

DX11: 2-5 FPS at starting fight, with black textures everywhere. Unplayable. All other games fly.
F****ing $60 USD down the drain and I get a big pile of useless bytes on my HDD.

Thank you Bioware. Very dissapointed. FIX THIS IMMEDIATELY!!!!!
