9500GT NVIDIA User Experience Driver Component I always get this error when I start my PC and right
I'm not sure if this is the right place for this.
I searched on google and found nothing.

I'm running Windows vista Ultimate 32 bit.
I have a n9500GT mD512-oc/D2 graphics card from msi.

When ever I start my PC or right click on my desktop I get "NVIDIA User Experience Driver Component stopped working and was closed"

Windows never gives me a solution.

I un-installed every Nvidia driver and video driver in my Add/Remove programs and reinstalled 266.58_desktop_win7_winvista_32bit_english_whql from the Nvidia website and I auto detected my gpu.

It is roughly two years old.

I've been having this problem since the end of last year.

Hope anyone can help

Thanx

What NV driver are you using?

I have seen much discussion on problems when the 270.xx drivers are installed, but the 266.xx seem to be OK.

I am doing CUDA 1.3 crunching on 2 x GF 9500GTs, using the older drivers (258.96) and they have been fine for months.

Could a roll back to the 266.xx drivers solve your problem?

NV driver is GeForce 8400 GS 270.61 (aka 8.17.12.7061) btw. The situation is not helped by being unable to run the NV control panel for want of the driver component crashing/restarting over and over. You're quite right John, I will probably have to roll back. But it's not quite the point, NVIDIA don't seem to be taking their customer's problems seriously. My PC often fails to boot properly and after I've massaged it back into life, the MS diagnosis of the cause is all too often the video driver. Rock and hard place I fear :(

Thanx for the advise :)

Am currently installing the 275.33 driver now :)

I think you're right about it being the drivers but why hasn't NVIDIA sorted out the problem??

My Nv panel does open at least but when I tried installing the 270.61 update the physics and most of the other components wouldn't install. I ran the 3D vision controller and driver separately and they updated but the NVIDIA update and PhysX System software didn't install.

Although I think the NVIDIA update doesn't install because it probably conflicts with my 6.06 NVIDIA system tools which has NVIDIA system Update.

Will let you know what happens :)

Thanx again.

Just installed the 275.33 now and still having the same problem but now my screen's proper resolution 1360x768 is not available. :(

Maybe the PhysX isn't installing because I have the NVIDIA PhysX Unreal Tournament 3 Mods installed.

Also The NVIDIA Update Components didn't install... What ever that is...

Will get rid of everything and start fresh. :)

Wish me luck :)
