Flickering with GTX460M an 266.58 WHQL
  1 / 2
I've bought the ASUS G73SW Notebook with Nvidia Geforce GTX460Mobile. Installing the New Notebook Driver is without problems, but After Installing Process of the New Geforce Verde 266.58 (and the Beta 266.35, too) Driver, the Display is flickering, every 10-30 seconds all the time. It's no difference what application is running.

I've reinstall the Drivers with the Option completly New, but the flickering stays. With the ASUS Geforce 259.96 Driver there is no flickering. The Subvendor is: ASUS (1043), Device ID: 10DE - 0DD1.

Can y help me ?!

Thanks a lot.

I had the same issue with both 266.58 and 266.35 drivers. However, beta driver 265.96 seems to work ok. Of course the safe bet is always the stock driver 261.14 if all else fails.

Thanks. I'll file a bug on this so that our driver team can take a look at this. Can you please provide the EDID of your LCD monitor as described in the KBA below in case Asus uses different panels on the same notebook and we are not able to reproduce?

Thanks for the EDID. If I could ask for one more favor please? Can you go into the NVIDIA Control Panel -> click on the System Information button on the bottom left hand corner -> look for the video BIOS version and post it into this thread. Thank you.

Also, if anyone have an Asus g73jw notebook, please provide the VBIOS your laptop has so we can compare the differences.

I can confirm the report in the previous post: as of 267.24 the intermittent flickering problem is still present on the G73SW.

I experience the same problem with Geforce 9500M GS on notebook Acer 5920G-934G32Bn, driver version 266.58. The previously installed driver 179.48 worked normally, without flickering.
Device ID is 10DE-0405, Subvendor is Acer (1025).
Video bios version is 60.84.62.00.40.

OS is 32-bit Windows Vista home premium.

I'm also having the flickering issue with the newest Beta Driver 267.24. It does not flicker in video games just on the desktop. It will flicker from time to time with no sense to it. Please say we are going to see a fix for this before the beta comes out to official.

Thanks,

Rhett
