NVIDIA 3D Vision USB Driver Not Installed (help please - this is driving me insane!)
Hi,

I'm a bit new to the 3D thing, but can work my way around a PC. I have an Acer H5360 projector connected to my PC as a secondary display (my primary is a non-3D Sony VPL-VW100 projector which is turned off when using 3D) My graphics cards is the GTX 480 and I have the 260.99 drivers installed. This is a new install of Windows 7 64bit. My USB emitted is is plugged in and a steady green.

I have checked my Device Manager and can find under USB Controllers, a Nvidia Stereoscopic 3D USB Controller (driver 6.14.12.6099 dated 16/10/2010) My Display adapter shows GTX 480 (drive 8.17.12.6099 dated 16/10.2010)

So to my problem....When running the 3D wizard it reports that it cannot find a compatible 3D display even though my Acer H5360 is connected on the middle DVI of the GTX 480 to the HDMI input of the projector. In Nvidial Control Panel the Acer only reports itself as a "Digital Display" whereas I though it had to respond with its make/model name; can I reset this?

I'm really running out of ideas; what could I be missing? Any help much appreciated.

Thanks
Nick

It might be possible that the EDID of your ACER might have got corrupt somehow. So you need to fix that. Look at the following link for general details on EDID fix

You can find some threads on this forum also which are directly for ACER projector. Just search for them.

Try enabling the 3D Discover mode 3D Vision (anaglyph red/blue) then switch it over to normal 3D Vision.
