WHQL 260.89 and GTX 460m problem
  1 / 6
Can't get these to install at all. I'm getting the could not find compatible hardware error message. I did my usual routine of uninstalling everything nvidia in control panel, then booting into safe mode and running my driver cleaner program and then booting into normal mode and installing. Error message. I then reinstalled 260.63(no problem) and tried to install the 260.89 over these. Error message... so no joy. Anyone else having this problem? And yes I did download the verde notebook drivers.

Ditto. Guess I'll have to roll back to 260.63 too.

Same here. I get "the graphic driver could not find compatible graphics hardware" following the system check. I have the GTX 460m (in Asus G73jw).

Yes I also own a g73jw. I checked asus driver page and they still just list an old driver. Going to check out getting a modified .inf to fix this.

same here: Installation aborted, non compatible Hardware were found or supported. I have the ASUS G73JW with Geforce GTX460M.

I had modded the nvam.inf, but after installtion the screen is flickering all 10 seconds. Bad Driver Release for the First Offical "supported" Driver for the GTX460 Mobile. /verymad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':verymad:' />

it seems that the vendor id of the GTX460m (ASUS G73JW) is not supported in the Geforce 260.89 WHQL Release, but other Vendor ID's for the GTX460M are listed in the nvam.inf.

But in the Geforce 260.63 beta is the ASUS G73JW Geforce GTX460M supported. What does it mean ?!

It means you should ask Asus to get of their lazy rear ends and update the drivers.
