GeForce Go 9750 GTX replacement? My card is done
I have a Dell XPS M1710 and it appears that the graphics card is bad. CPU will only show video in safe mode. At standard boot up, video will either be garbled or nonexistent. CCA was removed, and CPU was cleaned out. OS and drivers reloaded, and then system ran fine. five days later, the pixilations and absence of video are back. What card do I need to get to replace this?

Same again. The 7950 is the fastet notebook card that will fit the socket on the dell laptop. I believe the Go 7900GS also fits. Hard to find replacements though, unless Dell can supply them.

if it worked after cleaning it out, it might be worth taking the heatsink off the graphics card, re applying the thermal paste and making sure tha all the dust has been removed from aall the grills and fans

A friend of mine said that there was an AMD GPU that can replace the 7950. Anyone hear of that? It's just flat out impossible to find a replacement 9750 since they no longer make them.

the BIOS of the laptop might not be written to take the ATI card, laptops are nowhere near as easily configurable as desktop and you cant just put any graphics card in it.
