Official BETA drivers my dear boy. But outstanding comparison. Btw, the streaked terrec is the fastest breeder with the guinea pig being fast with its babies and the wild board rolling out 27 at a time in one batch should perhaps replace rabbits.

You can also get the English (not international) version straight from Nvidia here. The advanced driver search page. It's a much smaller file.

ok guys ive tried these AND 186.16 (orwhatever) and with both i get a BSOD of 0x0000003B everytime. I have to boot to safemode and revert to 185.85 in order for the system to boot where it remains normal and completely stable.

i first installed the 186 drivers on a fresh install and is where the problem first occured.

any ideas?

The fact that you are having this many issues with drivers is not normal.

I am willing to bet that your Q6600 @ 3.6 is the culprit. Although it may seem stable most of the time, the Q6600 @ 3.6 is a tricky venture.

My son's rig used to have the Q6600 and we had it clocked at 3.6Ghz 24/7 but it took some pretty finite tweaking to get it there.

I mean, look, I must install nvidia drivers at least 5 times a day at the shop and have never had issues with any one single driver, on any one config (and being a custom PC shop, the builds vary DRASTICALLY) including of course my personal 4 rigs (which vary enough to qualify by themselves) since Nvidia enabled SLI support in Vista 3 months after the initial Vista launch.

If your rig is THAT sensitive to the various drivers Nvidia puts out, you should really start looking towards other things.. I bet the OC is at fault myself..but with PC's the norm is never the norm.
