Free physX games and demos Compiling a list
Hi everyone,
I recently thought to myself "Hm not many games support physx". I mean we've all seen the list of games, but still, not many mainstream titles there. I, being cheap, don't like to pay for things, but also like to dabble. so I'm trying to compile a list of all the free demos and free games that support and use PhysX

So... Here's what I have so far:

Free games:

-Jericho Demo

-3D Mark Vantage (See post below for details for second or third runs

Well that's all I've found as of now. Please add any that you have or know of.

Thanks to gandalf Grayhelm for posting the cryostasis demo which links to the rest of that stuff :P I wouldn't have found that pack on my own.

Also, I'd post vantage but that one run thing is utter bs. $5 isn't much to pay for unlimited uses, but I feel cheated after using 06 for so many runs.

Thanks,
A.sting

I'll give you exact stats:
119 PhysX SDK based games are released currently, 16 with PPU support, 6 with GPU support
AoE3 warchiefs trial The game is listed as PhysX, so I assume the demo is. If anyone knows otherwise let me know. DL is towards bottom of the page.
only AoE3 Mac port is PhysX based.

After all, free PhysX SDK games (without PPU/GPU support) I know:
"Minotaur China Shop", "I hate Clowns" and some other, based on Unity 3D engine webplayer (Link)
BlockBall Evolution

Climbactic (video).. I can not find where to download this game download already)
Kong
Bunch of games from Dark Physics Ageia PhysX Competition (link)

I thought the same thing, but the nZone list says that AoE3 is mac and PC physx. I'll work on dling them and then testing, although I'm like halfway through 7 or 8 other large downloads I need to finish first.

http://www.nzone.com/object/nzone_physxgames_home.html

Also, yes that seems like a lot of games, but not many mainstream, or major titles.

I'll edit the first post and add all of those, thanks so much.

That's a mistake made by nvidia employers during porting this list from ageia.com
Only AoE3 Mac port (developer - Disteneer Studios. Link ) is using PhysX, while PC version is Havok based

Originally, those nzone.com physx list was made by me for Ageia 1.5 years ago, and it wasn't updated since then) but you can always find latest version following link in my signature)

Very cool. That's a nice list, I'll check it out when I get back (have to run some errands).

Yeah very dissappointing that theres so few hardware accelerated games.

Oh and I Spent about an hour playing Cellfactor Revolution. Amazing. Not hardware accelerated, as far as I know, and with the new forceware it only lets me play two levels, but I love it. I would pay for that game, and that's saying a lot coming from such a penny pincher like myself. I'd love to see hardware acceleration implemented and see new levels and updates.

And I know it's a little late, like half a year, but welcome to the forums.

Another free game based on PhysX - Whiskey Stacking
http://www.directorforum.com/showthread.php?t=3417

It's using Adobe Director 11, as I see, which is PhysX SDK based)

dawn of war 2 , supports physx and the demo ...

way to get round the single run issue with the vantage trial legally....

run the line "run_all_tests_performance.cmd" which is in the vantage folder, then look at the log file it creates , gives you the p score .

you can do this as many times as you like , legally

Updated. Thanks for the tip. That's a saver. DIdn't work. I tried running it, and it would flash the cmd line, give a readout of something to the effect of "Only available in the professional edition" then close out on me.
