Youtube not buffering properly on my pc
hello,
I am having problems with videos like on youtube and everywhere, not buffering fast, and keep pausing to buffer. I have really good extreme internet so i think its a software problem.

I get that too on some videos. idk whats wrong, hate when it does it. Allso happens to me all the time on gametrailers.com on their longer vid's it has to stop and buffer and im on a 16mbps cable line and the only one in the area so i have all the bandwith.

I have the same problem, too, but I think it might be because I need to get faster internet. I have DSL high-speed, I believe, but almost every video I try to watch it takes forever to load and it pauses to buffer every few seconds are so. And HD video? Forget about it.

Is there a plug-in or software you have to download or do I just need faster internet? There's no way in hell it's a hardware issue. My friend has a standard Gateway desktop he bought at Best Buy and he watches HD trailers and videos with ease. What gives?

This is a very good question.

I get it on a few videos. Also I get it if I watch 1 video in particular (Fort Minor - Where'd you go?) It takes forever to load then after that so does any other video I watch until I restart my PC

Possibly your windows TCP/IP settings, try downloading a file (big one of course, and make sure its from a fast host, like nvidia.com) with just one thread via either ftp or http, if your PC uses your full bandwidth your TCP/IP is fine, if you are lucky to get more than 100KB/s then either your router or your PC needs tuning.

I get about 60KB/S. That's usually how fast all my downloads are.

same here, runs at about 3.1-3.5mb/s. Just the video. Didnt start happening till I installed Vista on my Velociraptor. Might be a problem when I installed Vista. Not gonna reinstall tho, took me forever to get every setting and service the way I like it.

Well, thats a problem there, your either on a slow connection or something severely limiting your DL speed. Youtube will buffer fully and run smooth so long as you get about 100KB/s+
