Best brand of case fan?
  1 / 2
Looking to add another 120mm to the front of my Thermaltake Armor case.

Im considering adding 1 120mm intake fan (Blue) and replacing 2 non-LEd with blue or going with all Red.

Fan sizes:

90mm Fans
1 x 90 mm Rear Fan (Exhaust 1800rpm ,19dBA)
1 x 90 mm Top Fan (Exhaust 1800rpm, 19dBA)
120mm Fans
1 x 120 mm, Front Blue LED Fan (Intake,1300rpm, 17dBA)
1 x 120 mm, Rear Blue LED Fan (Exhaust,1300rpm, 17dBA)

I guess if I went with red it could interfere with blue LED PSU. My Zalman 9700 is Green so looks good with either color...i dunno tough choice but i do need a good brand to choose!

thanks ;)

My antec fans are pretty quiet, most of them are tri cool as well so that is good, i can crank them up when i need to and turn the down for quietness as well. i have a blue LED antec 120mm fan on my CPU heatsink (non tricool) it moves 80 CFM of air and i cant hear it. Then again, my case is very very quiet.

Ive never heard a fan quiet enough for me... Maybe I keep getting junkers. I have to keep them all at 7v to keep the noise down. Im using masscool and thermaltake fans and its still loud

Thermaltake and Aerocool are the best brands. Thermaltakes are noisier but both are great (because the Aerocool has more fins it moves more air with less noise)

Might sound weird but I like Enermax. They don't move THAT much air but they are extremely quiet.

Delta.

But if you don't want to sound like you are taking off, AeroCool are good and pretty quiet. Enermax magnetic fans are completely silent, but mover very little air...

I have one of my TT Armor case fans left because it was too loud... That tells you how quiet I like my machine.

Wait we're talking case fans here right?

Se7en's recommendation may be in reference to CPU/VGA/Chipset heatsinks, but I am not familiar with them having JUST fans.

Ya Zalman makes Case Fans, looked at them. Have good reviews but I just went with Thermaltake. Got 1, if I like it i'll replace my other 2 120MM, if not, look at something else.

Yea the 90s are gone and I only have one of the 120s left in there for one of my rads. Ill admit my masscools are louder than the TT one though. But the winner of the loudness goes to my fan that WAS in my OCZ power supply. It was loud and didnt push any air. I swapped it for a masscool also.
