3DMark06 Forum Member Benchmark Thread
  1 / 23
Thought I would start a thread for SLI Forum Members to post their 3DMark06 scores in, since we hijacked OMEGAMAN'S threads. Please post your computer specs, and GPU overclock speeds if you OC'd.

My specs are in my sig. Here's my active project: http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=2397374

I didn't keep good notes during that run but I believe I was at 12X multiplier and 1150 fsb for 3450MHz. I believe I was on stock GPU settings and would of tried clocking the cards up but I've been in bios and post hell ever since, trying to get things stable. Right now I'm also testing with the Noctua12 air cooler. Gunslinger, your score is excellent and it looks like we've made some similar hardware choices...I am new to overclocking and am struggling to get answers and gain knowledge in some areas...would you or anyone reading this post know some of the answers to the questions I posted here? I would like to try and improve my scores and avoid melting things. /haha.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':haha:' /> I'm good at melting things.

I just ran my rig against 3D Mark06 and only scored a 4009. My signature lists my rigs specs.

To my knowedge, I have all the latest drivers and directX (9.0c).

What can I do to boost the numbers? I feel like I am not gettting the most from my system. I see others with lesser hardware out performing my rig.

Any input is welcome.

3DMark is a pretty CPU hungry app. So I wouldn't worry too much about that since your CPU could be bottlenecking your 3dmark performance. not to worry though. if you're running things without a hitch I'd say you're doing fine.

Getting around 9k with my rig atm, which I know is mainly due to the AMD processor holding it down.

If you really want to punish your rig, fraps 3dmark06, gives a great "overall" system bench, but be carefull, you will need about 5-10G free (that at half frame rez @ 25fps).

Of course this is assuming I can get 3dmark06 to run stable, might need to get a newer version or something.

[edit] woops, yeah, was running v1.02 DLing 1.10 now :)

Ok, finished a (now stable) bench with fraps running at half screen rez @25fps, 5200 3dmark06, main hit I took was in the CPU test, graphics tests were only around 3-8fps down from normal :)

That score looks a little low for 8800GTX SLI. Are the AMD's that limmiting. I would think that at 3.2 you should have plenty of horse power. With a 7900GTX SLI setup I get 11944 on a X6800 (3.965GHz). (http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=1161111)

Yep the AMD's ARE that limiting. Here's my new score with 680i/E6600: 3dmark06

I still love my AMD system, but do all my gaming on the Intel system now.

I scored 7717 on stock settings. I overclocked to cpu:3.5ghz and ram:792mhz and scored 7988(just cant break 8000). Before anyone says anything the problem is the cpu(pentium D 915 need a c2d bad). Although on 3dmark03 i score 38,363(this is how i know my cpu is the culprete). Anyway i just figured i'd add my 2 cents.

P.S. My specs are my sig
