Replacement for NVIDIA GeForce 8300 GS
I have a HP Pavillion a6244n Desktop PC that has a NVIDIA GeForce 8300 GS card.

What would be a good upgrade that will be OK with existing power supply (HP-D2537F3R 250W).

Thanks,
Mark

Without any psu upgrade you are sol really.

The best card would be a 9600GT 512mb like this:

Needs at least a 400W psu with 26Ampere on the total / combined +12V rail(s).

This 550W is from a quality brand and cost as much as what you normally pay for a good 500W for the moment.

500W / 32 Amps on the +12V is the minimum worthwhile psu to get these days. At least if you want some future proofing.
