GeForce 9300 Drivers Do Not Install on Windows 7 64-bit
I just loaded a clean install of the Windows 7 64-bit beta on an unallocated space partition alongside a working version of Vista Ultimate (dual-boot). My machine is using the integrated graphics chipset nVidia 9300 (ASUS P5N7A-VM). After install of Windows 7, Windows Update tries to install a 56.2MB driver download - NVIDIA driver update for NVIDIA GeForce 9300 / nForce 730i (Prerelease - WDDM 1.1). It fails (repeatedly) with a Windows Update error code of 800F022D - for which I can find no information. There's really not much need of going any further until I get this update to install all the drivers for the motherboard. Any help here? Thanks in advance.

I have exactly the same problem with GeForce 9400 integrated graphics.

Bump.

FYI. Instead of wasting time since I wanted to check Windows 7 out, I installed Win7 32-bit and the downloaded nvidia WDDM 1.1 drivers installed and work fine on 32-bit.

I picked up a MSI motherboard yesterday, a P7NG D which has a 730i chipset and a onboard 9300. I installed Windows 7 beta 64 bit, and had a similar issue. However, I installed the Vista 64 bit drivers and it all worked fine - except for the MediaShield driver which wrecked the install, fortunately I had made a restore point before the experiment. So it all works, but nothing doing on the RAID front I'm afraid (eg, don't install MediaShield)

Me too, 9400. I think windows update is seeing these chips as standalone cards (not onboard/integrated) which is why the driver wont install. As someone else mentioned the 64bit vista drivers work, but give me OpenGL problems in XBMC/Boxee

any word on a fix, or update?

Where did you find one with the 9400 graphics? I've only come across the companies selling ones with the 9300.
