9800 GTX normal temperature range
What is the normal temperature range of this card, idal and 100% load? I use NVIDIA Monitor to monitor temperature. Is ther any better program to monitor temperature?

I use a combination of RivaTuner, ATI Tool, and GPU-Z (the newest build has a temperature sensor on it).

I think that there is no real "normal" temperature range, but there are ideal temperature ranges, namely around 20 - 30c, but IDEAL temperatures are not about 75c in all reality. Video card's are rated to take up to 100 - 120c, however you don't ever really want to get close to there as your card will degrade faster. Mine idles at 39 - 40c and under load gets to about 54 - 55c and those are considerably low. I think an idle of 50 - 55c is normal and load temps from 70 - 75c are alright. I don't think you want to get much warmer than that though personally.

Running the fan at 95% and at 1,280 x 1,024 resolution and 650Mhz core with 935Mhz memory, I am at 54C after over an hour of gaming. UT3, BF2 or Crysis. My idle temp is about 42C because the 8800 GT runs a little warm out the gate.

I have an ECS 9800 GTX and the temperatures I had in idle was 61c and in full load around 80c , someone told me to install Riva tuner and adjust fan speed at 100% at all times , now I have idle 47c and full load around 55-60c
